Praise the Lord! Our Heavenly Father bestowed on us a great gift in sending his one and only Son, Jesus the Christ, into the world. This Christmas gift was to give us, may be better said to restore to us, the life God the Father intended for us in creation. Christ came into the world to show us the Father and call us into a loving relationship with Him. We watch Jesus and learn from him how to love our God. This coming Sunday we enter the Advent and Christmas seasons. There are numerous offerings for you to experience the grace of God in the next month. I pray that during these moments you are drawn deeper in love with our Heaven Father. United Methodist Missionary Kel Billings speaks in our worship services on December 1 st about his work in Bethlehem, Palestine. Community Christmas Tree Lighting and Advent Service at Love’s United Methodist Church on December 1 st at 7pm. The Oak Grove Moravian band will present a prelude concert at 6:30pm. A bus trip to the Operation Christmas Child Distribution Center in Charlotte for sorting and packing before those shoeboxes leave for the mission field. Our sermon series for the Advent season is entitled “Journey to the Manger”. We will explore the mental, emotional, and spiritual journeys made by Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds upon the event of the Advent of the Christ child and discover the journey each of us is on. Children’s Christmas Program and Play “A Night in Bethlehem” during the Sunday School hour (10am) on December 8 th in the Family Life Center. Our Gifts of Grace Christmas Shopping outreach will be December 13th (2-7pm) & 14th (8am-2pm). We share the love of God with our neighbors by assisting them with their physical needs this season. Our Music Ministry’s “Sing and Celebrate Christmas” will be Sunday evening December 15 at 7pm. It will be an evening of Christmas music, including favorite hymns and choral music involving children, youth, and adults, including the presentation of “Bethlehem Morning”, a choral cantata celebrating not only the birth, but the ministry and purpose of Jesus’ life. Christmas Eve Worship Experiences 3pm - *NEW* interactive family worship service to see and hear the Christmas story come to life. The nativity scene is constructed during the service. As the service progresses with the readings and music, the various elements of the scenes are added until the entire nativity is complete. ALL ages are welcome! Communion will be served. Come and experience God’s gift to us! 7pm - Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service In addition to these wonderful opportunities, there are class parties, a UMW dinner, Christmas caroling with the Men’s Chorus, a Youth lock-in and Christmas Caroling. Praise the Lord! Our Heavenly Father bestowed on us a great gift in sending his one and

from the school, food pantry, and
members of Morris Chapel. We
will have appointments for each
family in to hopes of cutting wait
times down. We have around 90
families so far.
It is time to sign up for Dec 12-14.
I am asking for at least 2 ½ hour
slots on Dec 13th and 2 hour slots
on Dec 14th. You may work as
many slot as you like. We need

The Pioneer restaurant (S. Main – Archdale) is
having a benefit on December 4th. Kathy and
Michael Line have owned this business for
many years are and very involved in the
community. Kathy Liner died April 22, 2013
from cancer.
On December 4th 2013, the Pioneer restaurant
will donate their revenue for the “ENTIRE” to
charity. Michael the owner will match the first
$10,000.
Contributions will be as follows:
1/3 to Baptist Brain Cancer Research
1/3 to Randolph Hospital for Hospice
1/3 Relay for Life

United Methodist men
The Morris Chapel United Methodist Men's December breakfast meeting will be held Sunday, December, 8 at 7:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. At December's meeting the Methodist Men would like to cordially invite all their wives and children, as well as, the widows of the church as our guests.
