EARLY EDITION

information. Most of our neighbors don’t have it either. But as

Christians, we’ve got an Early Edition. God has given us the Early

Edition in His holy word. We can function today in the divine

illumination of His word because we know about God’s plan for

the future (Ps. 119:105).

Dianne Mills would like to thank UCC for the contribution to Agape in Memory of Charles.

PLEASE HELP! Garrett Cottingham was baptized here this past week. Garrett is a senior at ACA and a student of Page Clayton. Page has been studying with Garrett and was privileged to baptize him into Christ. It would be wonderful if everyone would send cards of congratulations and welcome to Garrett at: 334 N. Burbank Drive, Montgomery, AL 36117. Thanks!

The elders are pleased to announce that TODAY has been designated as Agape Sunday at University. We’ll have a special announcement about Agape and the collection plate will be passed twice. We hope each of you have planned ahead to contribute over and above your regular contribution. You are requested to make your check payable to the Church of Christ, but designate it for Agape; and the church will write one check to Agape. Thanks, the elders.

A UCC church picnic is TODAY at Lagoon Park next to Pete Peterson Lodge from 4 to 7 pm. The church is providing Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and drinks. If attending, please sign up in the foyers. Please bring side dishes, desserts and your own chairs. Help is needed to grill, set up, games, etc. so let Shannon know if you can help. A devotional with prayer and songs will be included for all attending the picnic. For those who are unable to attend, the 5 pm worship is scheduled as usual in the auditorium and for all who need the communion, it will be served. Please sit toward the front as many will be at the picnic.

Lightbulb Changers: Thursday, May 9th, at 6 pm in the Annex is your next opportunity to be a wonderful volunteer in this work. Leon thanks everyone who has helped with this project.

The Friends for Faulkner Annual Yard Sale is May 9, 10 & 11th inside the old Faulkner Dinner Theatre across Atlanta Hwy from campus. Donations may still be dropped off any of those days.

He is also the author of a book, Leaving a Legacy. Dan works as a Consultant for Faulkner University and is a long time presenter in the area of Estate Planning in Christian Education. He will share many thoughts on how we can pass down not only our valuables but our spiritual values to future generations. Please do not miss this opportunity to hear from a leader in the brotherhood on this vitally important topic. Sign up in the East Lobby.
