Forest Health Program Responsibilities

Provide assistance to landowners of the state in the detection and control of destructive forest insects and diseases and other threats

Monitor and survey for threats to NC’s forests

Provide assistance to landowners of the state in the detection and control of destructive forest insects and diseases and other threats

• train and support field personnel in forest pest issues• provide diagnostic and control support and services• inspect state’s nurseries and seed orchards for emerging I&D

issues• Network with universities, and state and national agencies to

stay informed of new threats, controls, and current research
