2. 3. Warranty periods, limitations and exclusions.
Periods
(a) The periods within which, according to use, a defect in the goods to which this warranty relates must appear for the purchaser to claim under this warranty are:

* For domestic use 2 and 4 stroke handheld products only, this period is extended for a further 3 years on a parts only basis for crankshaft, main bearings, piston, piston rings, needle roller bearings, cylinder and ignition coils provided Bushranger oil has been purchased on the original invoice with the unit and used exclusively during the warranty period, for 4 stroke products BUSHRANGER 4 stroke oil must be used exclusively during the warranty period, and oil changes done every 10 hours of use.
# 6 months on chassis and gearbox (if self-propelled) for commercial use.
For domestic use this period is extended to a total of 6 years against abnormal wear on rear roller and internal rear roller drive components only.
Kawasaki engine warranty is thirty-six (36) months for units purchased on or after the 1st of September 2017. Any unit purchased prior to the 1st of September 2017 will be covered for a period of twenty-four (24) months after the date of purchase.
1 Year on hydraulic components.
Models with Briggs and Stratton and Kohler engines will have their engine warranty extended by PLP to a total of 5 years for domestic applications only.
Engine warranties as per manufacturers conditions. (subject to change without notice)

- Kohler 2 years Domestic, 3 months Commercial
- Honda 2 years Domestic, 3 months Commercial
(b) Limitations and exclusions:
This warranty does not extend to:
• replacement of parts due to fair wear and tear over time or through use including but not limited to blades, belts, spark plugs, bulbs, lubricants, bearings and housings, gear box, drive shaft, out-tube, clutch, clutch drum, seals, recoil starters, trimmer heads, cranks shafts, pistons and piston rings;
• damage caused by the purchaser such as failure to maintain, operate, fuel, or store the goods according to the procedures specified in the owner’s manual and abnormal use of the goods;
• failure or damage caused by modifications or alterations to the goods which change their intended use or adversely affect their performance, safety, operation or durability;
4. To be entitled to claim on this warranty the purchaser must:
(a) report the fault or defect to an authorised Bushranger dealer and provide proof of purchase within the relevant period specified in clause 3 of this warranty;
(b) pay for transport of the goods to and from the authorised dealer.
5. Australian Consumer Law (REG. 90):
The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The text above applies notwithstanding anything else expressed or implied to the contrary in this warranty document.
