Introducing the Mitel 3000

The Mitel 3000:– Integrated communications system that supports your voice

call needs

– Expandable system that accommodates up to 20 CO Lines, 40 Digital Stations, and 12 IP stations

– Modular system that can be upgraded by adding various system modules that allow it to grow as your customer’s needs grow

– Flexible system that gives you the choice of operating as either a key system or PBX

– An easy to install and maintain system, with modular hardware and remote maintenance software that allows you to service the system from your office.

The Central Control Unit (CCU)

Every Mitel 3000 system begins with a CCU. This is the main controller and power source for the rest of the hardware.

The CCU contains:

– System processor

– Power supply and optional battery backup

– Connectors for phones and lines

– Slots for line and voice mail module cartridges

– Remote programming and maintenance interface

– Base unit is a 4x8 max configuration

– Add Expansion Modules to grow larger

CO, Voice Mail, and T1/PRI Modules

You can add cartridge style modulesfor:

– CO lines (2 lines per Module)

– T1/PRI lines

– Voice mail

The cartridges are color coded

– CO/Line modules are black

– T1/PRI module is yellow

– Voice Mail modules are blue

– Different sizes so they can’t be put in the wrong slot

– Keyed to fit only one direction so they can’t be installed incorrectly

Yellow Module

Offers 23 channels as PRI (ISDN)

Offers 24 channels as T1 (RBS)– Can be configured as either a T1 or PRI.

Offers 4 Analog CO Lines as backup or overflow lines to a maximum of 28 CO lines

May be used for Voice Only

Integrated CSU for:– Fractional Service Supported Note: DID is supported

Each Ports Module Supports 8 telephones

Each Ports Module can support up to four lines

–2 Slots provided for CO/line module cartridges (you can install 1 or 2, depending on how many you need)

Broadband Module

The Broadband Module allows you to make your LAN connections to the Internet through your phone system.

– Firewall

– VoIP Gateway supporting 12 endpoints

The Intuitive DisplayScreen prompts change as the users’ situation changes

– E.g. If there is a Voicemail; that prompt comes to the forefront

Prompts tell you what action to take, or warn of an incorrect action

– When your phone is not in use, its display shows the time and date on the top line

– When you dial an external number, the display shows the digit as they are dialed and the call duration during the call

– When you make an internal call, the extension number you dial is displayed along with the name associated with that extension and the call duration

DSS Console

The DSS Console has 32 programmable buttons

It can only be used on the Mitel 3000 16-Button Phone

It uses the keyset’s power supply

There can be up to 8 DSS Consoles on the system

Multi-Line Cordless Phone

The Multi-line Cordless System Phone is a digital phone that has many of the same features as the Feature Phones.

– Four programmable buttons (default as line buttons for the first four lines)

– Full system feature access

– 900Mhz Narrow Band FM with ADPCM

– 3 ring tones and vibrate mode Range is based on environment/structure surroundings

Door Phone With a Door Phone installed in your

reception area, anyone visiting your premises can call when they arrive and you can speak to them before you let them in.

If you want to use the Doorstrike relay, you must purchase the Doorstrike mechanism yourself and arrange for a qualified electrician to install it

The Door Phone has:

– A button for ringing programmed extensions

– A microphone/speaker for communication
