1885-89,around Hlinedet, Yemethin, andNyingyan, and was
subsequentlyserving with the 3rd Brigade (Medal with2 clasps).
During the operations on theNorth-East Frontier, Chin-Lushai
1889-90, he served as Base CommissariatOfficer, Nyingyan, to the
Northern andSouthern columns (despatches, G.G.O.449 of 1890). His
service during thelatter expedition did not qualify for
theChin-Lushai clasp as he remained atBase. He retired as a Brevet
