At the meeting we said a sad good-bye to our out-going Board mem- bers Steve Lefler, Norma Garrison, Julie Simone and Carol Musterer, who have worked diligently for you over the past few years. The first order of busi- ness was to elect the 2016-2017 officers. Your new Board officers are Pj Greenwald (President), Vicky Young (Vice President), John Parsons (Treasurer), Linda Beach (Secretary) and Sabine Schroeder (Membership Chairman). The remaining at-large Board members Marty Fellenstein, Barbara Brokaw, Julie Islitzer and Onay Ha- vens, will be taking on other jobs throughout the year as needed. As the club’s newly elected Board President, I would like to thank every- one who participated in the most recent election. It is always inspiring and says a lot about a club, when the majority of members take the time to vote in elections. I have always believed that our club is the best in San Diego, and with member participation at such a high level, I am now sure that we are the best. Thanks to each of you, we have a strong Board with members who are willing to work hard to keep your club operating smoothly. Our primary goal is to provide everyone with a safe and enjoyable place to spend time on the tennis court with friends and family. In order to accomplish this goal, we need to hear from you. It is impossible to deal with an is- sue if one doesn’t know there is a problem. Therefore, if you have any concerns, suggestions, requests or questions, please let anyone on the Board or in the office know what you have to say or ask. The last Board put a number of improvements in place that we will con- tinue to support and assist in finishing. Will keep you informed on the directions that the new Board undertakes in the next year. Enjoy your summer and I hope o see many of you on the courts. PJ Greenwald President
