Your doctor might say that staying in
hospital would be a good idea to help your
mental health.
You can talk to
• your doctor
• your guardian
• your family
• a support person
They can help you decide if staying in a
mental health hospital will help you.
But it is your choice whether you stay in
hospital.
There is an easy read version of your rights as a voluntary patient or go to www.3dn.unsw.edu.au/projects/easyread.
