Indian Trails Middle School eighth-grader Shelby Anton served as

Floating Wetlands Update:
Floating wetlands were planted and installed in August, at one of the City’s water treatment
plants. Below are a comparison of when the wetlands were installed and what they look like
Operations Division staff close to completing a deal to connect to providers that ride fiber along the rail road tracks just west of US1. Operations Division staff working closely with engineers on the Palm Coast Parkway 6 lane project, they are at the stage in the project where our fiber will be affected. We are working with our fiber contractor to move fiber out of the 6 lane project path.

Applications Division updated the website with information about the upcoming Hall of Terror and the Green Building Incentive Program.
Applications Division created an admin section giving the BAC the ability to manually register people for the upcoming BAC Expo.
Applications Division editing the internal safety monitoring (worker's comp) application to allow staff the ability to also monitor if corrective action is needed for an incident and who is responsible to follow up.
Applications Division created new reports for Risk Management to allow them the ability to better view their data and where certain problem areas lie.
Applications Division made changes to the Performance Measure Entry page to allow staff a quicker overview of where they are in a Measure.
GIS Division completed coordinate geometry (cogo) for 5 legal descriptions and digitized/attributed 5 easements for inclusion in the Land Rights Project.
GIS Division staff met with Pictometry representative, who demonstrated the cloud-based tool to staff from Code, Community Development, and Stormwater. Pictometry offers oblique, orthogonal, and street-level imagery taken in 2014. The price is good, the interest is there, we are exploring.
Operations Division received 70 Track IT’s this past week.
Operations Division staff completing repairs to the City’s wireless network at Holland Park that have lingered from storms this past summer.
Operations Division staff almost done with migrating all old email from the old ArcMail system to the new GFI Mail Archiver.
Operations Division staff continued the replacement process for our annual pc “refresh”. Currently working on replacement laptops.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
GIS Division provided Community Development with a map and list of parcels within the city that are zoned IND-1 and IND-2 (Industrial).
UTILITY
GIS Division installed InfraMAP and configured an external GPS on a new laptop for Utility Systems Technician, Mike Lawlor.
GIS Division modified InfraMAP reporting for hydrants for better readability on 15" screens.

Colechester @ College Waterway Bridge #63 Rehab Design - Bid opening was10-1-14. Two bids were received. The apparent low bidder was Sieg & Ambachtsheer, Inc. in the amount of $1,078,700.00. Taking to Council on 10-21-14 for contract award approval.
Major Drainage Pipe F-2 Crossing @ Boulder Rock Drive - Design and permitting will be done in house. Pre-bid meeting set for 11-6-14 and bid opening on 11-20-14. Design plans are 60% complete.
LO-1 Water Control Structure Rehabilitation- Bid opening was 10-1-14. Three bids were received. The apparent low bidder is SE Cline Construction, Inc. in the amount of $387,971.00. Based on the Local Bid Preference. Taking to Council on 10-21-14 for contract award approval.

Temporary modification of the disinfection treatment will continue until October 27th. Customers may
notice an increase in the taste and odor of chlorine in their drinking water during that time.
The average water demand was 6.522 million gallons per day; the average wastewater flow for the week
was 6.801 million gallons per day
Installed 5 new domestic meter/backflow services and 4 new reuse meters. Installed two new pep tanks
and replaced two existing pep tanks.
This week 188 utility customers were shut off for non-payment.
Work continued on the Bulldog Drive landscaping project. Performed final grade on Phase I, installed
all phases/zones of irrigation to include, spray, rotor and drip lines. Completed installation of all
plantings on Phase I, approximately 3000 plants, and began mulching the beds.
ZLD Water Treatment Plant #2 – The refurbished generator and enclosure fuel line testing has been
completed. Operator training on various systems continues. Testing of the telemetry system and
calibration of meters and other equipment continues. Removed and replaced 24” chlorine contact
chamber piping.
Graded 6,507 feet of swales and cleaned 48 culvert pipes. Repaired 1 outfall and repaired 2 pipe
crossings located in the “B” section.
Ditch crew sprayed 87,160 lf of ditch in the “B” and “L” sections.
Mowing in “W”, “R”, “P”, “S”, and “B” sections. Mowing Belle Terre Parkway, Matanzas Woods
Parkway, Palm Harbor Drive and Palm Coast Parkway.
Performed site distance trimming in the “B” and “W” sections.
Special Events – Staff worked the Pink Army 5K run at town Center and the soccer tournament at Indian
Trails Sporting Complex, provided parking and traffic control.
Inmates mowed and weeded 43,237 linear feet of ditch in the “B” and “L” sections.

New Faces Night will be 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Palm Coast Tennis Center, 1290 Belle Terre Parkway. The free event will include open play, games, drills and instruction with the head tennis pro. It’s a fun and social event for players of all levels, including beginners! Loaner racquets will be available, or you can bring your own. New Faces Night is a monthly program for players who are not currently pass-holders or active at Palm Coast Tennis Center. The other events this fall will be 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, and 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18. The Palm Coast Tennis Center features 10 top-of-the-line HydroGrid clay tennis courts, lighted to tournament standards. The Tennis Center is certified as a Quickstart Tennis Site and as a Cardio Tennis Site and won the 2010 USTA National Award for Outstanding Small Public Facility. Programs, leagues and lessons are offered for all age levels. Also, mark your calendars for these other Tennis Center activities this fall: Halloween MYSTERY Round Robin: Saturday, Nov. 1, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Free for pass holders, $12 for non-pass holders. Palm Coast Halloween Boo Bash offers safe holiday fun on Friday, Oct. 24 Palm Coast – The City of Palm Coast and Wadsworth Elementary School present the annual Halloween Boo Bash, a family-friendly event for all ages, from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Belle Terre Park, 339 Parkview Drive, Palm Coast. All are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy activities including a costume contest, carved pumpkin contest, bounce houses, music and games with a DJ, carnival games, food, candy and lots of fun! Doors creak open at Fire Station 21, 9 Corporate Drive, Palm Coast, on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 30 and 31 from 6-11 p.m. Admission is free, and the gory trip is recommended for everyone, ages 10 and older. No young children, please. This creepy haunted house will have some exciting new twists in this 13th year, complete with some really gruesome scenes and some scary surprises. Volunteer characters, many of whom are firefighters and other City employees, provide the scares.
