This is the album artwork for Pendulums album “Immersion.” As with most modern electronic artists in recent years, Pendulum tend to play on the fact that there is a sense of mystery between the artist and the consumer; as such; this allows to make more unique and more unorthodox covers, for this reason, Pendulum have chosen to compose a twist on the Adam and Eve story – as this can be seen as an artistic and interesting design, as well as creating an enigma to why they are in this situation. The background, not only uses blues and navy type colours to fit with the atmosphere of the album artwork being based underwater, but it also fits in with electronic music stereotypes, as blue is often associated with the electronic scene. As with the disc and back cover, continuity is continued, using the same palette and scene but with different images. The collection of coral and fish to the sides frame the image, to bring attention to the centre of the cover. Immersion, as the title, links with the water and bible themes, as one of Immersions definitions is a baptism submerged in water.

As with most modern electronic artists in recent years, Pendulum tend to play on the fact that there is a sense of mystery between the artist and the consumer; as such; this allows to make more unique and more unorthodox covers, for this reason, Pendulum have chosen to compose a twist on the Adam and Eve story – as this can be seen as an artistic and interesting design, as well as creating an enigma to why they are in this situation.

The back cover of the album follows the same palette as the front cover. Using a variety of neon blues and reds to conform to the electronic stereotypes.

It also references bible passages, such as Genesis – which links with the front cover showing Adam and Eve ascending upwards. Again, this links with the electronic scene as a scene where the artists deliberately act more mysterious, than for example, a pop artist/band.

The tracklisting uses similar colours to the background, but uses a shade of blue that is doesn’t clash with other colours in the background.

Unlike the front cover, the back cover does not use framing, rather, it relies on the text standing out, rather than centring on a particular aspect.

The blue text seems to almost fade into the blue background; but due to its capital font.

The use of the water effect, and the light from the top of the screen on the front cover - links in to the idea of “Immersion.”

Again, the same type of colour palette is used on the disc; keeping with the continuity of the product.

The “Adam and Eve” characters aren’t present on the disc, suggesting that they have already ascended. And the disc seems to invite the audience to “take the same journey” through the music provided.

The colours aren’t of a neon tint in this case due to the fact that the disc is a close-up of the centre of the front cover, keeping with the “Immersion” theme.
