The Pastor’s Desk
Our Lord heals a sick child in today’s Gospel reading.
Bystanders tell him to forget about the child because she has
died. However, the Lord tells them to have faith. He knows
the girl has died but wants to demonstrate God’s love,
concern, and power by raising her to life. He cures her and
the people are amazed. Should they be? Perhaps, because
such miracles were uncommon. The Lord wants us to have
faith that he can indeed do miracles in our lives and for those
we love. Help us Lord to believe that you can!.
PRAYER TO THE HOLY FAMILY
Lord Jesus Christ, who, being made subject to Mary and Joseph did
consecrate domestic life by thy ineffable virtues:, grant that we, with
the assistance of both, may be taught by their example and may
attain to their everlasting fellowship. Who lives and reigns world
without end, Amen.
A PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at
least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already
there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be
separated from you. Amen.
COVID-19 Parish UPDATES!
Due to widespread vaccinations, a lessening of the pandemic, and the CDC's guidance Cardinal DiNardo has established these new guidelines:
-No social distancing is required -Facemasks are not required but are recommended -Reception of Communion on the tongue is now permissible
Congratulations to the Class of 2021 Congratulations to all of our recent graduates! You and your parents have persevered despite the COVID-19 pandemic and have achieved your goals! To those graduating from high school and college, you will have a perpetual remembrance in the prayers and Masses of our parish.
