Estaremos cambiando los misales y libros de canto (Ingles) para la nueva temporada. Si usted tiene libros azules o rojos en su casa o

vehículo, por favor de regresarlos a la iglesia. Estaremos poniendo los nuevos misales el martes 22 de

Noviembre después de la Misa en español. Si está interesado en ayudarnos es más que bienvenido.

Estamos necesitando a 2 más chaperones para el retiro de Jovenes de la prepa que se llevara a cabo del 19-20 de Noviembre. Este es un retiro en el que pasaran la noche, y los chaperones necesitan quedarse con los estudiantes y participar en el retiro. También necesitamos adultos que se den como voluntarios para llevar a los estudiantes a Dodge City. Por favor de llame a Donna Loewen o a Flor Galindo si le interesa apoyarnos. 33er DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO El próximo domingo, con la fiesta de Cristo rey, finalizaremos el año litúrgico. Las celebraciones litúrgicas y las lecturas nos preparan ya desde hoy a este cierre. Dispuestos ya para dar comien-zo al Adviento, que nos preparará a la Navidad. También llegamos al final con Jesús a Jerusalén que a lo largo del año acompañados de la mano del evangelista Lucas nos trajo hasta aquí. Estamos con Jesús en el corazón de la ciudad en el Templo, contemplando sus maravillas. Además, se nos habla del final de los tiempos, Jesús nos describe como una fotografía lo que entonces y ahora vivimos en la vida cotidiana. Guerras y revueltas, terremotos, hambre y peste. También, podríamos agregar situaciones fuertes de personas que emigran de sus lugares de origen buscando un mejor futuro. ¡El mundo sigue revuelto! ¿Qué significa todo esto? ¿Cómo nos sentimos al escuchar las lec-turas de hoy? ¿Con miedo o con esperanza? La esperanza de la Ig-lesia en la constante invitación a la formación al discipulado debe ser un aliciente para todos nosotros. Trabajar con ahínco, unidos en familia, comunidad y sociedad en general, debe ser el compromiso de todo cristiano para lograr un mundo mejor. La actitud de seguir adelante es lo más importante. Poner atención sobre tantos falsos profetas de la actualidad que nos ofrecen bien facilito la comodidad y la riqueza como medios de salvación. El mundo nuevo del que nos habla el Señor se construye con perseverancia y arduo trabajo. "Sin embargo, no caerá ningún cabello de la cabeza de ustedes. Si se mantienen firmes, conseguirán la vida" (Lc 21, 19).

funeral Masses or Vigils. Your willingness makes a difference and shows a good

example of stewardship.

We will be changing the missalettes and songbooks for the new season. If you have a blue or red book at home or in your car, please bring them back to church so we can put the new Missalettes in the folders on Tuesday, November 22nd, after Spanish Mass (around 7:45 p.m.) If you are interested in helping us, you are more that welcome. We appreciate your help!

33rd SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME "You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name." This is not a pleasant prophecy. On the contrary, Jesus' somber words may strike us with a bit of fear and make us wonder if we will ever actually face such a tragic scenario. We are fortunate to live in a country where religious freedom is tolerated, and of course we hope that this continues to be the case. But the sad fact is that right now, there are Christians in other parts of the world who are living out the reality of these prophetic words. For these men, women, and children of faith, the name of Jesus truly is a cause of persecution and martyrdom. Let us imagine for a moment that the tables were turned. Suppose we were the ones suffering from the violent advances of anti-Christian forces. Suppose we were the ones losing our homes, flee-ing for our lives, tending to our wounded loved ones, or worse. Where would we look for help? To other Christians, most likely, to those who would sympathize with our commitments but who still had the resources to assist us. We ARE those other Christians. We are the ones who share a com-mon faith with these suffering brothers and sisters on the other side of the globe. We are the ones with the resources to help them, even if it is just in a small way. Our prayers for their protection and peace cannot be underestimated, but neither can we dismiss the significance of contributing in any way possible to those organiza-tions that are working on the front lines to assist the suffering Church throughout the world. May we all do what we can to bring relief to those who need it most.

We are needing 2 more chaperones for the High School Youth Rally on November 19-20. This is an overnight rally, chaperones need to stay the night with students and partici-pate in the rally.
