• The Space Weather Product Team (SWPT) consists of relevant subject matter experts and GOES-R program engineers supporting the effective handover/management of the GOES-R series space weather sensors and validation of GOES-R SWx L1b products. The SWPT operates under the auspices of the CWG but reports directly to the POSST Operations Manager.
• Principal Duties of the SWPT are to:– Develop procedures for Post-Launch Tests (PLTs) of the GOES-R sensors
and Post-Launch Product Tests (PLPTs) for GOES-R L1b products.– Conduct analyses from assigned PLTs and PLPTs to verify nominal
instrument performance and validate L1b products.– Report instances of L1b product non-compliance or anomalous behavior. – Advise Program on the efficacy of GS performance monitor tools at OSPO.– Provide needed information and support to Program and Project system
integration, operations, transition and handover reviews.
