Magazine Advertisement Survey Similar to my digipak survey, I decided to ask this question in regards to the house/pop/dance genre. The responses to this question were very similar to that of the question about colours on a digipak, which is good as it shows a clear sense of continuity and flow throughout the products. Bold colours such as red and blue seem to be common answers as they are colours which would stand out on almost any background. This question was relevant as it was a convention I had discovered throughout the research stage. The responses coincide with what I found out in my research which luckily allows me to create a magazine advertisement using the photoshoot that I initially carried out for the production of my digipak.

Magazine Advertisement Survey

Similar to my digipak survey, I decided to ask this question in regards to the house/pop/dance genre.

This question was asked to gain more of an insight into the actual content of the magazine advertisement. If the response said that the audience wanted to include the list of songs, it would be challenging conventions. I now know that it would be better to focus the content on the artist or album itself.

The general response was that the artist name should be in the bigger font, the album name the next smallest and the release date in the smallest there is. However, some people had separate opinions on this, yet I have still decided it would be most wise to write the artist name in the larger font, as similar to the design of my digipak.

The general response I received from this question is that a fun, energetic, bright and stand out cover would attract most people. There should be a large main image with a large font size for the minimal typography. From this, I know that the magazine advertisement needs to be relatively similar to the bright design of my digipak in order to attract my target audience.
