The majority of people who took my survey, 40%, are male. This means that I will need to balance my magazine for both genders even though most of the people taking my survey are male. This is because it is very likely that the majority of people who chose the “Prefer not to say” option are female. I will need to make sure that my magazine is well suited to both genders as the school has an almost even division of boys and girls.

The majority of the magazine’s demographic will consist of people aged from 15-16. This means my magazine will be mainly aimed at this age group. However, this age group only makes up 30% of the responses meaning that I will need to make my magazine specific for all of these age groups. This is not going to be much of a problem as this is a kind of mean age in the school and content that is suitable for 15-16 year olds could be adapted to fit the other age groups too.

In this question there is no section that stands out from all the other ones meaning that I will not be able to target only one of the sections. It appears that most people want to see grades, gossip and pictures on the cover page. Although these three sections stand out, I will also need to include these other sections even if it’s to a lower extent. I will be sure to include a lot of pictures as 50% of my audience chose this option.

Just over 65% of people that did my questionnaire said that they want to see cover lines on the cover of the magazine. Some people were not sure if they wanted to see cover lines on the magazine this is most likely due to the fact that not many people know what cover lines are. The majority of people said that they want to see cover lines meaning that I will need to include these in my cover but to a limited extent as some people did not want to see them.

60% of people would be willing to pay up to 99p for a school magazine. If I was going to do this survey again, I would have to include a free section as at the moment the free option is merged with the first option. Despite this, I can still see that the majority of my target audience would not be willing to pay more than 99p for a magazine. I will need to follow this and make sure my magazine is as cheap as possible without being more expensive than 99p.

50% of my sample said that they would prefer if the magazine was the median choice, 5-9 pages. This means that I will need to make my magazine not too long but just long enough to provide the readers with a good amount of interesting reading material. I will also respond to this analysis by making sure that that my most quality content is condensed enough to fit into the limit of 9 pages that I have.

Most people, just over 46%, said that they enjoy nothing about school. I only put this question to allow everyone to be able to respond to the question rather than some people not filling the question out. The second majority of people said that they would want to see friends on the cover. I will need to include pictures of students on the cover page to appeal to those people and others in their friendship groups.

There is not much I can analyse about this question. It shows me that quite a lot of people would like to see a school magazine and get involved with this. I could have done a questionnaire that asks people why they would be interested in a school magazine however this would be unnecessary.

This question's answers are quite varied as favourite subjects are entirely subjective. It seems like there is no clear majority besides maths and PE. I could respond to this by making a part of the magazine dedicated to sports. I will also find a way to include all other subjects to ensure that everyone can feel like a part of the magazine and express themselves using it.

In this final question, the majority wanted to see blue. This will be my main colour which will work well as the school badge includes blue. I will include all of the other colours in amounts that are relative to the amount of people that have chosen them.
