The unusual 3 layered effect on the contents suggests individuality and that the magazine is not afraid to be different.

Eyes. Direct mode of address. Connects the artist with the audience creating a personal relationship.

The ‘V’ in the background carrying out the constant theme that the magazine is ‘VIBE magazine’ subtly reminding the reader as the two deep reds contrast each other.

Subheadings. The subheadings begins with the word ‘Fashion’ which is a bigger font than all the rest of the writing to attract the reader. There is then a little description of what is inside the magazine related to fashion.

Jewellery and gold chains all being shown in an aggressive way. Creating attention and drawing the reader to the magazine.

Logo. The constant theme with the logo appearing on every page.

Two appearances of double page spreads inside the magazine. Letting you know what is inside the magazine – giving you a taster.

Constant colour theme of red and white – Q magazine traditional colours.

Lead image. This image is the biggest on the page suggesting it’s the most important and is what the reader should focus their attention on.

Contents. What articles are included in the magazine and what pages you can find these on. Editors note. Describing his

thoughts on the issue.

Issue number of the magazine and date. Always located in the same place at the top of the page on every issue.
