To top it all off, Cara’s also settleddown with girlfriend AnnieClarke, 32.‘I think being in love with my girlfriendis a big part of why I’m feeling so happywith who I am these days,’ sheadmitted in a previous interview. Thepair have been inseparable since lastDecember, with Cara accompanying Annie on the festival circuit thissummerwhen her schedule allowed it.
ButwhileCara is feelingontopof theworld, it hasn’t stopped people trying to break her down, including anAmerican television host who askedher if ‘she even had time to read thebook’ of PaperTowns.ButCara refusesto let the haters win. As John Green, the authorof PaperTowns, said: ‘Caradoesn’t exist to feed your narrativeoryour news feed –and that’s why she’s so f***ing interesting.’ Indeed.
When we meet her at The LondonHotel in LA, we’re transfixed by thosetrademark eyebrows and cheekbones.Despite a long day of promotion, she’s
in a greatmood and immediately tellsusacting is her first love. But despitea big part in Amanda Knox biopicFaceOfAnAngel earlier this year, she’s always had her eye on thelead role – which is why she’s soexcited about PaperTowns.Whatwe especially love about Cara is thatshe doesn’t take herself too seriously.‘I likeeveryonetohaveagoodtime. That’s my attitude and spirit generally,’she says. So let the fun begin…HiCara. You’reinagreatmoodtoday, butifyou’refeelingdown, whichfrienddoyoucalltocheeryouup?I speak to a bunch of people everyday. Turn To Pals For Adoption Advice
She’s had the dream wedding and it
now seems the actress has set her
sights set on having a family…
We were thrilled when we saw that Jennifer Aniston and her fiancé of three years, Justin Theroux, had finally
tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at their Bel Air mansion earlier this month. And it seems that the couple don’t want to waste any more time, as Look reported previously, they seem to be entering the next exciting phase of their life together by starting a family of their own. According to our sources, thenewlywedshaven’truledoutadoption, with Jen turning toher A-listpals for advice.
‘Jenniferand Justin have beenexploring the idea,’ an insider tellsLook. ‘They’reboth taking a reallyhands-on approach and Jen’s beensayingshewantsatleasttwochildren.’
Jen,46, has reportedly beenseeking advice from her oldfriends Charlize Theron andSheryl Crow, as they both haveplenty of experience with adoption.Singer Sheryl, 53, adopted her firstchild, eight-year-old Wyatt, in 2007,followed by Levi, five, three yearslater. Charlize, 40, adopted herthree-year-old son Jackson in 2012,
from her native South Africa. And recently she added another little one to her growing brood, reportedly adopting a baby girl named August earlier this month.
‘Charlize and Sheryl have been perfect for Jen to talk to,’ a source tells us. ‘Their kids are still young, and they both waited to have them later in life, so they really understand what Jen is going through.
‘Naturally, Jen’s been worried about finally doing it, but Charlize assured her that everything wouldbe absolutely fine,’ our sourceadds. ‘She’s told Jen there areso many ways to meet mums, and she’ll introduce her.’
Something Jen really seems tovalue is Charlize’s knowledge of theadoption process. It can take upto two years and requiresa hugefinancial investment and plentyof patience – it reportedly tookCharlize over six months toadopt her daughter.
‘Charlize has told Jen toexpectendless interviews as she goesthroughthisprocess,’saysourinsider.‘And she has said she’ll be there forher every step of the way.’
Jen has been always been open
about her dreams of motherhood. ‘I’ve always wanted to have children,’ she said in 2008. ‘And I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all.’ And Justin, 44, seems equally broody – only last week he was snapped cuddling up to his The Leftovers co-star Liv Tyler’s son Sailor.
‘A lot of Jen’s friends have children,’ a pal says. ‘And she’s loved doting on Courteney Cox’s daughter Coco.’ Her desire to have a baby has intensified over the years after

watching her grow up. But with Coco now 11 years old, Jen’s realised that she needs to be around mums with young kids – and that’s why she’s turned to friends like Charlize and Sheryl.
And it’s perfect timing as Justin is on a filming break from his TV series and Jen hasn’t got any confirmed roles until next year.
‘Jen has never been so ready to have a baby,’ a source tells us. ‘Her and Justin can’t wait to be parents.’

‘OK, no one likes a selfie taker who hidesbehind ulterior motives (Hey guys, checkoutmynewcurtains!’*pout*).Andsomeoneblocking up your newsfeed with endlessshots can be really irritating. But this studymakes them out to be totally evil. I thinkthat’s takingonlineannoyanceasteptoofar.
I can’t help but smile when I see that someone has clearlyspent ages takingand editing their pic. The amazing light, full-oneye contact, super pout and filtered-beyond-recognition snaps just show they want to put themselves out there looking asfabulous as possible. And we all thought it was amusing– andmaybe a little arrogant – when Kim Kardashian released abook of her selfies, but does it make us love her any less? No – if anything, it made us love her evenmore!
Sure, endless selfies can come across as insecure, and it’s a superficial validation, but who cares? There are worsesymptoms of insecurity than letting the internet think you’reperfection. Is it really so bad to have a few seconds where you’re Kate Moss and your phone’s Testino? Let us dream.’
‘Posting endless selfies is an extremelynarcissistic thing to do. Full stop. I’vesnapped the odd one from time to timeto show off a new outfit or haircut, but ifyour feed is full of identical pictures ofyour face it’s sending a pretty clearmessage: that your priorities in life are
your looks and gainingvalidation through them.I saw this first hand with a friend of a friend called Sally*.
Sally is popular online, posting mostly selfies with the oddbodyshot forgoodmeasure.Sally’swhole life revolvesaround how she looks, howother people perceive her looks andwhat she thinks about other people’s looks. So far, so shallow.
But I’ve also noticed theother not-so-nice traits in Sally, andother friends who post endless selfies. They tend to spendhours talking about themselves, oblivious to other problems, and are obsessed with getting their own way.
The thing about selfies is they allow people to indulge intheir narcissistic traits and gain validation for them. That, in turn, encourages them to continue behaving badly.’

Are You Ready For The Cord Comeback?Fashion’s retro love-in just went one step further as
the fash pack declare corduroy autumn’s ‘It’ fabric…
It started, as most trends do, with Alexa Chung. We’d seen cord make an appearance at the Topshop Unique AW15 show, but it wasn’t until
Ms Chung rocked a J W Anderson cord frock that we began to seriously consider its return to our wardrobe.
It’s not hard to see how cord has snuck back onto the fashion frontline for the new season. It enjoyed its style heyday back in the 70s, which, if you hadn’t noticed, is the decade fashion is currently enjoying a major love-in with.
Need any more convincing thatcord is cool again? Just check out your favourite high-street haunts. As well as the sky-blue Unique flares – touching down on 9 September – Topshop has everything from midi skirts to shirt dresses. Boden and Next have straight-leg trousers, Zara is championing cord frocks and New Look has tan shorts.
Colour-wise, go for blue, tan, rust and burgundy – or pastels for a modern spin – and wear with silks, chiffon, jersey and leather. Trust us, all the cool girls will be in cord this season.

‘Sometimes people aregoing to treat youdifferently becauseof the colour of yourskin. Sometimes you’re
going to have to work ten timesharder than somebody else to getthe same appreciation.’ This is whatFKA Twigs was told by her stepfathergrowing up. And there probably isn’ta black woman in the country thathasn’t sat through the very same talk.
While many white people remainblissfully ‘colour blind’, black peoplelearnof italongsidelife’sother lessons– not touching things that are hot;not eating food that’s fallen on thefloor; the fact some people will notlike youbecause of your skin colour.
We’re not afforded the luxury ofignorance – whether our parentschose to advise us or not, we’d soonrealise in some way or another thatracism is still a very real problem.
Twigs was the only mixed-racegirlin her class. ‘When I was a teenager, every girl that vaguely looked likeBritney in my class was the one whowas [seen as] hot,’ she explained.
‘Western society tells you if you’reblonde, you’re beautiful; if you have
fair skin, you’re beautiful.’I have a similarmemory from when
I was a teenager.I remember an

A lot of racism lies in what isn’tsaid as opposed to what is. Books, films, catwalks – it’s rare to seesomeonewholooks likeus.ForeveryJourdan Dunn there are ten Caras.
It’s an afterthought for most, butlike FKA Twigs, for many of us, it’s atthe forefront of our minds. Especiallywhen we go online. It was only lastyear that she wassubject to racistTwitter abusedue to her relationship withRobertPattinson, andthisweek, sherevealedshe still receives

FKA Twigs On Racism:

Yomi Adegoke explains why it’s still prevalent in our society…
Hot guys. From Ryan Gosling to Brad Pitt, we’ve all had a fantasy of dating someone who is (in the words of Zoolander) really, really
ridiculously good looking. But, as with most fantasies, the reality can be quite different. After all, we’ve all heard that one friend say: ‘He’s a bit of d**k… buthe’s so good looking!’ Which is why so many women are now turning their back on the fit guys (sorry Ryan) and going for Mr Average instead.
Kylie Minogue recentlyconfessed that in herquest to find love she’s decided to ditch the hunks of her past (hello, Oliver Martinez) and search for someone a bit more, well, normal. ‘Maybe too good looking is where I’ve been going wrong,’she mused.
Of course, whilewe’re not saying that
Recent research shows that attractive
people make the worst partners. Look
investigates why you should be dating
down for ‘happy ever after’…
Why Dating Hot Men Is Sabotaging Your Love Life
all attractive people are bound to be bad boyfriends, research has shown those blessed with good genes can have some not-so-hot personality traits. A recent study carried out by Brunel University revealed that attractive men are more selfish and less generous than their more average-looking counterparts. Another study from the University of Exeter found that men who are rated
as the most masculine have more testosterone, and men with high rates of testosterone are 38 per cent more likely to cheat.
Louise*, 32, from Manchester, is
not surprised. ‘The guys I’ve dated in the past have always been really hot,’ she says. ‘But it’s never worked out. Sure, it’s been really passionate at the beginning but the relationships always ended because they cheated on me, or I broke up with
‘I Only Dated Hot Guys… And It Always Went Wrong’ Laura Barcella, 36, an author from Washington DC, shares why she’s given up on handsome men…
them for being so selfish. I’ve now decided to look for someone with a little bit more substance.’
‘These studies do make sense,’ says psychologist Emma Kenny. ‘If you’re attractive, you have a wider choice of sexual partners – which could lead you astray. It’s also been shown we are hard-wired to prefer attractive people and that means the better looking you are, the better off in life you’ll be – and if the light has always shone on you, you’ll be used to that and be less aware of other people’s feelings.’
Studies show that from birth, babies prefer attractive faces and this carries through: good-looking people are less likely to be bullied in school, and, at work, are more likely to be hired than those considered less attractive. But all this unearned attention can present problems when it comes to relationships.
Kelly Brook, who has dated a string of athletes and models, has spoken in the past about the pitfalls of dating the super-hot. On rugby star Danny Cipriani, she said: ‘He needs constant attention from any woman, and if you’re not going to give it to him there’s a whole line of women who are ready to.’
‘I must admit the ex who cheated on me did so more than once, and
I let it happen,’ adds Louise. ‘I think I lost my brain a little when it came to the way he treated me.’
But Louise wasn’t being a push-over. Apparently we all excuse bad behaviour in the name of attractiveness. Studies show we subconsciously view good-looking individuals as kind, so when things go wrong we assume it’s not their fault. This so-called ‘halo effect’ can even go as far as the courtroom, with mock trials showing that physically attractive defendants are less likely to be perceived as guilty when they’ve been charged with a crime.
‘The reason we are so drawn to good-looking people as partners is because in ancestral times they were seen as the best, healthiest mates,’ says Emma Kenny. ‘But things have changed hugely since then. Back then we were just looking for someone to reproduce with. The strongest relationships are ones where you’re connecting on a deep level, with similar viewpoints.
‘And attraction grows – so even if your new partner isn’t as good-looking as your previous ones, that will change. They’ll become the most gorgeous person in the world to you.’

We’ve got just two hours in Paris. The temperature outside has reached 40 degrees
and the streets are chaotic with traffic. Inside though, everything is calm. We’re in the Mandarin Oriental hotel to interview Amanda Seyfried, who is here to unveil the latest Givenchy fragrance from the Very Irrésistible family. Tucked up on a sleek grey sofa, the actress immediately greets us with a hug. It’s this friendliness that makes Amanda stand out – she appears to really care and take notice of everything around her. She occasionally answers
questions and then looks nervously at her publicist, as if she regrets being so open. After all, she has in the past admitted to getting the word ‘minge’ tattooed on her foot and once said she was ‘pigeonholed as a dumb blonde’ after Mean Girls. But her honesty is one of the things we love most about the actress, who is exactly as she appears on screen. With those big blue eyes, glowing skin and glossy hair, we’re entranced, but after just five minutes she’s so chatty and sweet we completely forget we’re talking to the star of Mamma Mia, Les
Misérables and more recently Ted 2. We can totally see why her boyfriend of two years, actor Justin Long, 37, fell forher. We’re head over heels too…

HiAmanda, whatisit likebeingthefaceofGivenchyLiveIrrésistible? It felt like such anatural collaboration. I respect Riccardo [Tisci, artisticdirector of Givenchy]. His perfumesare known for being very sensual, verysophisticated and very feminine andI wanted to embody that strong female.You’vebeenopeninthepastaboutsufferingfromanxiety.Doyoutakestrengthfromsharingyourstory?I feel like it’s OK to talk about beingscared because if you suppress it, it’sonly going to get worse. I’m gratefulI’m so aware of [myanxieties] andwilling to fight through. In the pastI’ve allowed it to take over so muchthat I didn’t do the things I wanted.Whatadvicewouldyougivesomeonewhowassuffering fromanxiety?Just to figure out where it comes from, where you feel it and then focus onthat. Also don’t judge yourself for it.When you judge yourself for feelinganxious, there’s no way you’re goingto be able to work through it.You’reinarelationshipwithJustinandabouttoturn30.Youmustkeepgettingaskedifyouwantchildren…Right now, I’m being careful! But itdoes seem like a wonderful adventure. My three best friends have kids and itlooks like they’ve figured out the secretof lifebecauseof it.Theyareveryhappy.Doyouthinkthepressureonwomentohavekidsatthisagecomesfromourselvesorthoseontheoutside?A bit of both. Society keeps remindingus that our eggs are dying off [which]I’m sick of. I’m like, I get it! It’sreally funny.Hemadeonefor Justin too.Doesyourlifestyleaffectyourlook? In the day I wear nothingon my faceapart from sunscreen. I’m constantlyapplying it because I am outside andtake my dog to the park everyday soI get a lot of sun. In the evening, if I’mdoing [strong] lips just a little mascara, and then if I do a smoky eye, it’s nudelips. That’s the rule! You’vegotincredibleskin, what’s yourbeautyroutine?Every morning I wash my facewithClé de Peau cleansing foam, then thetoner, then the cream. At night I do thesame–Iwashmyfaceandputthecreamon super-thick. Then, right before bed,I put a little lavender oil on my nose – itcalmsme, especiallyifI’mfeelinganxious.Whataboutwhenitcomestoscent?I’m just not the kind of person whowakes up, showers and puts perfumeon and goes to work because I don’thave a normal job. I’m usually wearinggym clothes! Live Irrésistible is brightand light – there’s something sunnyabout it, so it’s perfect for daytime, but I wear it at night.Fragranceissoassociatedwithmemories.Arethereanysmellsthattransportyoubacktoyourchildhood?My grandfather wore Old Spice andsowhenever I smell [that]on a man, theyjust immediately feel familiar to me,even if I’venever met them. TAYLOR’S AFFORDABLE BAG CRUSHThe leader of our favourite squad has a new ‘It’ bag, and it comes straight from the British high street…
Taylor Swift has become known
for her love of our fave high-
street shopping haunts, and
now it seems she’s added yet
another one to her hit list. The pop star
has rarely been spotted without
her Cambridge Satchel Company
cross-body bag recently, sporting the
maroon version with everything from
minis to matching boots. Renowned
for its signature satchels, The Cambridge
Satchel Company’s beauties come in
just about every colour of the rainbow
– and every size. The label also creates
everything from backpacks to purses,
too, meaning there really is something
for everyone. Top of our wish list is the
tangerine push lock and scallop-edged
satchel, which both make for a grown-up
update on the school essential. Well,
if they’re good enough for Taylor…

Novelty is going nowhere, and pop art-inspired slogans are the
latest way to get in on the look-at-me accessory craze. Skinny Dip is
the leader of the pack when it comes to this trend, with quirky clutches and could-be-designer
totes to choose from. But we love the boxy shape of Accessorize’s
‘Wow’ bag, which totally ticks two trends in one. It’s time to let your
bag do the talking, ladies.

SNAKESKIN:BASIC OR BRIGHT? Snakeskin has always had the power to make a bag look expensive. When it comes to investing, the only question is whether to go classic – monochrome or beige – or bright – basically any colour of the rainbow. Yep, it’s a tough one.

Lady Luxe MiniDenim is often thought of as casual, but this season it’s been used to update feminine shapes, like this midi skirt. A floral silk top and
metallic courts would even give it wedding guest outfit status.
Ever PerfumeYippee – Miu Miu has finally launched a fragrance. With extracts of lily of the valley, rose, jasmine and patchouli, it’s a gorgeous floral with a peppery kick. It apparently took 1,200 tests before they got the blend right – it was worth the effort.

Your Best Kept Secret Don’t let the odd grey
or dull locks stress
you out – give your
tresses a youthful
boost and expect your
richest colour and
shiniest hair yet…
We all love to tell ourselves little white lies to get us through the day, like promising we’ll go to the gym
because we ate that pizza last night. But who isn’t a fan of treating themselves with a little feel-good pressie, right? Well, what if we told you we’d found the ultimate mood lifter and confidence booster in one? OK, listen up!
First-time grey hairs can be a total nightmare, we know, but if you don’t want to commit to a permanent colour, try a semi-permanent one instead and think of it as an easy beauty pick-me-up that requires little to no effort at all.
The product in question is L’Oréal Paris Casting Crème Gloss, RRP £6.79 – a no-fuss, deeply conditioning colour formula that lasts for up to 28 shampoos. It easily blends away greys, too, leaving you with a gorgeous mix of shimmering tones that look totally natural.
Gabrielle Dyer, 22A new colour can make you feel as good as a
new pair of shoes, and Look’s Beauty Assistant
Gabrielle knows the power of a good hair day.
‘You shouldn’t let first-time greys ruin your day – I’d recommend Casting Crème Gloss as the best way to transform your ’do. As a beauty assistant I’ve tried and tested lots of hair products, and you may not expect glossy colour and serious shine from an at-home product, but that’s exactly what you’ll get. The conditioning formula will keep your hair looking and feeling its best, even several weeks later.’

Kim Jatinder, 41Kim’s got quite stubborn greys and
has tried at-home dyes before, but
has never found one that blended
well with her colour. Here’s what
she thought…
‘After using Casting Crème Gloss, I noticed the texture of my hair had really improved; it was easier to manage, too. Also, the other day, my daughter commented on how nice my hair looked and how soft it felt, which was a nice boost. Plus, it turned my highlights a lovely multi-tonal colour, which I’ve never had before.’
Zuzanna Ritchie, 36Before using Casting Crème Gloss,
Zuzanna had experimented with
a few at-home colourants. With
a mixture of blue and purple faded
highlights, she wanted to bring back
the shine she feels her hair has lost.
‘I used to tell myself greys are just part of getting older, but now I don’t have to worry. The Darkest Brown 300
shade covered everything and left my hair looking so healthy with a rich tone. I haven’t had just one colour for the last seven years, and I really like it.’
Jenny Green, 31Having not used an at-home dye
kit for a long time, Jenny was quite
sceptical, because she found it was
a bit of a guessing game knowing
how the colour was going to turn out.
‘I couldn’t believe how easy this product was to use, and the results were even better than I ever expected. Before, my hair was really dull and I was a bit bored with it, but the Chocolate Fudge 403
shade was amazing – it seriously refreshed my colour. I’ve had so many compliments since!’
