Recently, I've made up my mind toovercome my fear of working within
the frame work of socialmedia. After severalworkshops, some ofwhich we've hosted atthe LongviewPartnership, I've beguntaking risks with socialmedia platforms andhave found myself to beextremely pleased withthe results!
Step 1: The Partnership hired KimberleyBozeman to help us create our SocialNetworking Communications plan.
Step 2: The Longview Partnership haslinked all of our networks such as Twitter,Youtube, Facebook, longviewchamber.com,longviewvotes.com, visitlongviewtexas.com,etc., to our blog.
Step 3: Utilize our blog, The Business View(www.longviewpartnership.wordpress.com)to message about key advocacy issues, IRSupdates, etc.
Step 4: Set up Fan Pages on Facebook forspecific events in order to take advantageof the advertising feature within Facebook.
Step 5: Utilize YouTube (LongviewPartnership Channel) to promoteLongview, provide member testimonials, showcase events, etc.
Step 6: Utilize LinkedIn (LongviewPartnership Group) to provide weeklyupdates on relevant media releases thatcan help businesses grow and prosper!
The results: FANTASTIC!!!! Examples: a. We hosted our first Women's
Leadership Series for 2010 and overbookedthe luncheon within less than 2 days.
b. We hosted “Customer’s Who Wantthe World” webinar and once againSOLD OUT within one week.
c. Our Downtown Market Fan Pagehad well over 1100 fans within the firstmonth. In April, the Downtown Marketwas launched. Through Facebook weattracted exhibitors, fans and attendees.
d. We advertised Business EXPO onFacebook for 1 month and had 1,498,851impressions. The committee has receivedan overwhelming response from the adand had to add additional exhibitorbooths to meet the demand.
Where can you find the LongviewPartnership and our divisions?
