INTRODUCTION

CONCEPTS INFORMING THE BRAND Leadership Council’s Main Purpose To define Leadership Council of Greater Cincinnati, we start with its purpose. Leadership Council’s purpose is what drives the organization’s actions and communications daily.

The Leadership Council of Greater Cincinnati is: Our MISSION To maximize the impact of non-profit organizations, develop their leaders and strengthen the community.

Our VISION Inspired, visionary leaders champion dreams of those we collectively and collaboratively serve in a thriving community.

Who We Are We are a growing group of local non-profit agencies who wish to build capacity, connect, collaborate with and learn from each other in order to meet the needs of the community.

What We Do We strengthen the effectiveness of non-profits, develop their leaders and strengthen the community through building capacity, connections, collaborations, and cost savings.

The Logo Below is a breakdown of how the Leadership Council logo emulates the brand attributes and depicts Leadership Council as an organization of education and partnership.

“Connection & Collaboration for a greater community Connection and collaboration are just two of the qualities that

Leadership Council is committed to providing for their members. Through the combined efforts and skills of their members and those

they reach out to, a greater community is made.

Circles Represent the

connections and strong bonds made among members and those that have been helped.

“L/C” Connection Leadership and

the Council are interconnected in many ways. From the way the executives lead to the education they provide, the Letters represent the interconnectivity of their worlds.

THE LOGO

GRAPHIC STRUCTURE

The Leadership Council of Greater Cincinnati logo incorporates multiple graphic elements: the symbol, title, and tagline.

The Leadership Council logo must appear prominently (most often, the front cover) on all materials published by the organization in print or electronic format.

Please not that the words “Leadership Council of Greater Cincinnati” are a graphic element, and as such are inseparable from the symbol. The words may not be recreated with any font, nor resized or rearranged for any reason. Multiple iterations of the logo for various purposes can be found on page 10.

THE LOGO

SAFE SPACE

A safe area around the Leadership Council logo must be preserved in order to retain maximum legibility of the logo. No elements such as typography, other logos, graphics or photos may intrude upon this safe area. In addition, placing the logo too close to a cut or folded edge violates the safe area.

Please be sure to confirm with the printer that no safe areas are violated.

THE LOGO

SIzE RESTRICTIONS

In order to maintain legibility on printed materials, the Leadership Council logo may not appear smaller than the sizes illustrated below.

In general, while the Leadership Council logo must be prominently and largely displayed, however it should be sized appropriately for each particular purpose. Please use common sense when sizing.

When using smallest possible sizing, remove tagline. Keep tagline where legible.

SECONDARY ASSETS

FONTS

Secondary assets extend and reinforce the Leadership Council brand. These assets include colors, fonts, audio elements and other pieces that project the Leadership Council brand. Guidelines for the most visible secondary assets are detailed in the following pages.

The san serif typeface chosen for the Leadership Council logo is Helvetica Neue. If you are using a Windows operating system in order to design or produce print publications you should install Helvetica Neue on your computer. If using a Mac operating system, these should already be installed.

You do not need to use Helvetica Neue for internal communications such as letters or memos. Please use professional discretion when creating these documents.

WEB USAGE

All guidelines in this manual apply to both print and web, unless otherwise specified. Safe areas and proportionality apply when the logo is used in web communications. In addition, the following guidelines must be met:

• The Leadership Council logo must serve as a link to the organization’s home page (leadershipcouncil.us).

• The Leadership Council logo must be visible on every page at the top of the page (without scrolling) when the monitor resolution is set to 800x600.

• The Leadership Council logo must not be replicated as a pattern for wallpaper or backgrounds.

• The Leadership Council logo must not be made into a 3-dimensional object (drop shadows, frames, animated, etc.)

Use text, instead of graphics whenever possible. Use Helvetica on web elements in order to maintain consistency.
