Queensland associationsThe interests of the lettuce industry in Queensland are representedthrough the vegetable sectional group committee (VSGC) of Queens-land Fruit & Vegetable Growers. This committee enables lettucegrowers to discuss and formulate industry policy.
Growers can speak from a position of strength through an acceptedorganisation. It is in the grower’s interests to join their local growersassociation. The address and meeting times of local associations anddistrict delegates are available through:
Organic grower associationsNote: These organisations do not have the resources to provide ageneral advisory service about organic production. Their main func-tion is to provide information about certification standards and proc-esses. Special services are also provided to members after joining.
