The United States flag is a symbol of our country. Our flag stands for liberty and freedom. The colors on our flag are red, white, and blue.Our flag has 13 stripes and 50 stars. There is a star for each state.

We celebrate our country with the flag. We raise our flag on holidays. We wave it during parades. We say the Pledge of Allegiance to it. To pledge allegiance means to promise to be loyal.
