Solar EPC Solutions for MW Scale Utility

There are two types for choosing MW Scale solar power plant.

1) PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)

2) REC (Renewable Energy Certificate)

PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)

Its totally depends on local government solar policy.

Last tariff of Gujarat government is 12 INR/KWh for first 12 years and 3 INR/KWh for 13 to 25 Years.

Bank Guaranty @ 50 Lacks INR/MW at time of PPA with GUVNL (Refunded)

Get permission for metering from GETCO/GEDA. Solar substation to GETCO substation shall be

laid by GETCO. Take reactive power charges as per GERC order. Financial and Technical Criteria required for

PPA.

PPA (Power Purchase Agreement)

Financial Criteria :

1) Internal Resource Generation = INR 1.20 Crore / MW of any last 5 years.

2) Net Worth – INR 2 Crore / MW of any last 3 years.

3) Annual Turnover = INR 4.80 Crore / MW of any last 3 years.

Technical Criteria :

1) Project proposal to project approval committee.

REC (Renewable Energy Certificate)

Its totally depends on Central government policy (CERC).

Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) set target of Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) to State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC-GERC).

It has two types. Non-Solar (6% in Gujarat) Solar (1% in Gujarat) 1 REC = 1 MWh power generated. This certificate can be sold in exchanges to

RPO. This trading take place on the last Wednesday

of every month.

Price band is set by CERC

1) Non-Solar : Floor Price / REC = 1500 Forbearance Price / REC = 3300
