NYE PTA Dolphins! What an incredible end to an amazing year! The theme this year was "TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE" and this year that was truly the result of our vision. The NYE PTA board consisted of new volunteers and long time volunteers. It was exciting to see the combined efforts of this incredible group of individuals pull together a year of activities!
We added new activities such as Trunk or Treat and brought back the Run Club and enjoyed good ole' favorites like Bingo Night, Movie Night and One Book One School.
The community came together to support the Dolphin Dash and together we raised over $10,000 for the upcoming NYE PTA school year. We provided school grants total-ing nearly $15,000 to improve the students’ and teachers’ educational experiences, as well as grants to enhance our LMC.
We had 100% of the Young teachers become PTA members. Also, we had 480 fami-lies become PTA members this year. This was a first in the history of the NYE PTA!
I'm proud of our hard work this year and I am honored to be a part of this great PTA board for the incoming 2016-2017 school year!
A HUGE THANK-YOU to all the volunteers that gave so generously of their time during the 2015-2016 school year. We had a great turn out this year. Veronica Manzano, Walter Chambers, Yara Orrostieta and Zena Weir.

Also, thank you to our art teachers, Mrs. Gelso and Mr. Mills, for working with the 4th graders on their state flowers.

As our 5th Grade Class says goodbye to Nancy Young, they will exit with some great memories from their class trip to Sunrise Lake Outdoor Educational Facility. Each student will head off to Granger Middle School with a Granger t--shirt and a 5th Grade Memory Book that will remind them of all the good times they shared with their friends and classmates at Nancy Young Elementary. A special thank you to Trishia Ogden and Julissa H. Rivera for putting together the Fifth Grade Memory Book. Thank you to all the members of the Memory Book Committee for all of their time and assistance in bringing the Memory Book to completion: Jill Lavine, Julissa H. Also, please take an opportunity to look through the Nancy Young Yearbook when it comes home at the end of the school year.
