AMALFI COAST DESTINATION

The Campania region is located in the south of the Italian Peninsula, with the Mediterranean Sea to the west, it includes the Islands of Ischia and Procida as well as the famous Capri. The name of Campania itself is derived from Latin, as the Romans knew the region as Campania felix, which translates into English as "fertile countryside". The rich natural sights of Campania make it highly important in the tourism industry, especially along the Amalfi Coast, Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri.

Sorrento is situades in the Sorrentine Peninsula overlooking the Gulf of Naples, just in front of the Island of Capri. It is usually considered the last city of the Sorrento Peninsula, but it can also be a starting point. The city, in fact, is located in a strategic position from which you can easily reach not only the nearby cities of the peninsula itself, but also all the localities of the Amalfi Coast. The closest airport is Naples Capodichino which is 1hour far away by car.

It is located 12 min from Sorrento, the Castle is the ideal place for exclusive gala events and receptions for up to 620 guests. The Castle is open throughout the year offering its guests charming and sumptuous heated rooms and a wonderful room that can accommodate up to 500 seats at the table. • Villa Angelina – 9 min by car – 5km The ancient private “Villa” develops on three levels: the ground floor is intended to be used to meet guests, with facilities such as a reception lounge, computer corners and a bar. A spacious hall can be used for events that need high receptivity (conventions, presentations, product launch). The first and the second floor host nine rooms of different capacity and size, employed for teaching activities. Four exclusive terraces allow our guests to admire the magnificent panorama during work breaks.

• Pompeii Amphitheatre – 41 min by car – 27 km It is the oldest surviving Roman amphitheatre. It is located in the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, and was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Nowadays it can host special events and conferences.

Course organized in Sorrento for people who wants to make a brief but detailed experience with an Italian chef, learning the basic techniques of Neapolitan and Italian cuisine. You will prepare a full menu which includes three or four courses: appetizers, first, second and desserts. You will learn how to make fresh pasta, to cook gnocchi, ravioli, tagliatelle, paccheri, to prepare typical sauces such as basil tomato, ragù, pesto, meat and local fishing. At the end you will enjoy what you have prepared with our local wines.
