Cover Page Mode of Address- Direct Address, directly speaks to the

reader.- Used ‘you’ in 3 places on the front cover- Including in the strapline of the masthead- This makes the reader feel apart of the

magazine and that it is there for them.

Hyperbolic words-Uses exaggerated words to grab the readers attention and exaggerate how good the magazine is-Uses ‘Bigger & Better’

Alliteration-”Real Readers Rate, Reveal and Rock”-Alliteration catches the readers eye and attention causing them to pay attention more to the coverline

Contents Page Rhetorical Question-A question is the title of the contents page-It is a different way to lead into the contents without using just the word contents-It makes it feel like a more interesting page

Quotes-Quotes are used 3 times for page names-They give an inside look on what the contents of that page will be, encouraging readers to look and find out more about the article

Direct Address-Uses ‘you’ and ‘your/you’re’ often in the descriptions of each page-Involves the reader in the magazine, makes them feel apart of the conversation

First Person-Written using a lot of ‘we’ and ‘us’-Makes the magazine feel more personal like there is someone behind the words -informal
