Postcard Records is a Scottish independent record label to sign post-punk bands in the early 80s and is proven to be influence on the C86 album
Inspired by punk’s DIY ethic
Typical features of indie pop music includes jangling guitars and melodic power pop song structures

C86 ALBUM (Cassette – 1986)
Released by the British Music Magazine NME (New Musical Express) in 1986. This cassette featured new bands signed on British independent record labels. This was made to reflect the new music scene for the time and is thought to be the beginning of the indie pop genre.
