Sale Conditions
Stock will be sold under the conditions of sale displayed in the mart, recommended by the Livestock Auctioneers’ Associtaion for England and Wales.
All heifers offered for sale are not warranted as breeders unlessotherwise stated. Please note that ear numbers for all cattle must be given to the auctioneers on the re-
spective entry forms supplied. All unentered cattle and those missing their turn in the ballot will beoffered for sale at the
end of the catalogued entries.
No lots can leave the market without a ‘pass slip’ being issued by the main office
Purchasers have two working days from time of sale to satisfy themselves that all docu-mentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within that time limit. Paperwork must accompany livestock and if making multiple loads
please make sure that the paperwork is presented with the first load.
TB Status Notification
If you are a 1 year TB test holding, please ensure your cattle have been tested within the 60 days prior to sale date. Please bring a copy of your current TB Test Certificate with your passports and indicate on the blue entry form how many days remain on your
current test. The information given is for guidance purposes only.
Vendors: please ensure all cattle have two ministry approved ear tags.
Please make sure you have your stock forward as early as possible to ensure your stock is lotted and penned as swiftly as possible.

Health & Safety
It is reminded to all customers that Livestock should not be unloaded without the
assistance of a member of staff. Children are not allowed in the sale ring at any time.
Please inform a member of staff before unloading if your livestock could be dangerous so they can prepare and inform other members of staff who will have to handle them.

The May sale had a bigger entry, however quality not the same as seen in the April sale. John Okell of Chester took charge of the pre-sale show, a nice line up of non-halter led heifers saw the first and second placed heifers taking the Cham-pion and Reserve.
Taking the top price at £1550 was the Champion, Kirkwood Royce Isabel 3, with two immediate generations of EX & VG, she sold to Doug Wallbank of Longridge.
A ringside of buyers were present, however all were on the cautious side, best heifers in excess of £1400. An overall average of £1205, a straight average when looking at the quality forward.
A couple of bulls forward from the Stardale herd of J Burrow & Son saw Lot 30, Stardale Adeen Miles, a nice bull sired by Melarry Robust Miles and with 4 gener-ations of EX cows behind him, he sold for a final call of £1500.

FROM THE SOUTH: Leave the M6 at Junction 33 and take the A6 North. After the lights (Boot & Shoe) and the BP petrol Station turn right into Barton Road. After ½ mile turn right at the mini roundabout into Coulston Road, ½ mile down there is Wyresdale Road, the Market is there on your right.
