The block UPN search may be of use to find the attainment data for a number of new pupils to your school, particularly if they have come from schools outside of Oxfordshire. How to Access Key to Success Key to success can be accessed by schools though Secure Access (https://sa.education.gov.uk/idp/Authn/UserPassword). Each school has one username and password to login to Secure Access. If you have lost your access details please click on “forgotten username or password” For all other queries relating to Secure Access please complete the Service Request Form which can be found at: Secure Access service request form - Data, research and statistics.

1. Once logged into Key to Success lick on “Block UPN search” and you will be taken to the page below
2. To search for a small number of UPN’s you can type directly into the box (as above),
pressing enter after each UPN. However to search for multiple UPNs create a list in word or excel and copy and paste into the box. Click Search.
3. The next page will list the UPN’s that have been found and also any that could not be found.
KEY TO SUCCESS BLOCK UPN SEARCH - In order to search for groups of pupils in Key to
Success the “Block UPN Search” can be used to obtain past Key stage results and census information
4. To view the data linked to the UPNs found in the “Block UPN search” click on “Download Pupil List”. Check the box to confirm the conditions of downloading and click on the format to download the data. Excel will probably be your preferred method.
5. Click on the link to PUPIL.xls to open the file.
6. The spreadsheet will open with tabs along the bottom for each Key Stage and recent
census information.
7. To clear your search (so that these pupils are not downloaded again as part of
another search) click on “Pupil List Maintenance”. Click “REMOVE ALL PUPILS” and then “ok”. The list will now be empty.
8. Log out of Key to Success after you have competed your searches.
