- To calculate time in different time zones you need to know the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or GMT adjustment for each zone. There is a formula that can be followed when calculating the times in different zones. It is also important to use 24-hour times in your calculations. To find the correct time zone for a particular city/country, you need to refer to a World Time Zone Map.
