Enclosed please find the invitation and entry form to the SWEDISH KATA TROPHY 30 year

anniversary. Saturday 25th of February 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Swedish Kata Trophy, with its main purpose to support and promote traditional Japanese karate-do, has today become one of the largest karate tournaments in Sweden. Last year we had 80 schools from 12 different countries with a total of 600 individual entries and 30 teams participating!

Our aim is to organize an international event all through and we are doing so by inviting WKF-judges from Europe along with high skilled competitors in order to get as high quality as possible.

We use the WKF-rules with the following exeptions:

Children categories no demand for new kata each round and no repecharge and please observe the age classification for 11, 12 and 13 year old! No bunkai in team kata finals.

I hope that you and your students are able to participate in this event and helping us to make this special edition of the Swedish Kata Trophy an entirely international tournament!

WKF-rules. “Masters” (category D-F): no demand for different kata in each round but repecharge. All children categories: no demand for different kata in each

round and no repecharge. No bunkai in team-kata.

Children’s competition starts at 10.00 am. Seniors, Juniors and Cadet categories start about 13.00 pm.
