• Carried out in 2014–2020, with support from EU/ERDF, Integrated Territorial Investment tool
• The six largest cities in Finland, covering 1/3 of country’s population and over 50% of GDP
Objectives of the Six City Strategy • Improve the services offered by cities, increase the
competitiveness of businesses and enable more widespread participation in development work.
• As a result, cities will be better equipped to respond to future challenges and promote sustainable urban development
• Also improves the service processes and their functionality across the municipal borders
