The Kennebunkport Festival is six days of fun, food and drink, with events ranging from cocktail parties to beautifully prepared din- ners created by some of Maine’s finest chefs in the Kennebunks’ most beautiful homes, to a Grand Tasting Party, Maine Craft Music Festival, The Grand Finale and more. Ticket prices vary, and new this year is a $495 festival pass that gets you into most events. One of the highlights of the festi- val is the Spirit of Maine party, which is full of music, fabulous food and cocktails and all takes place under a big white tent along the Kennebunk River. Wednesday, June 14 Fishing for Freedom, 10 to 10:30 AM,
Breakwater at Gooch’s Beach and Colony
Beach. Support Maine’s wounded heroes and
join in sending them off for a day of fishing
on the ocean. Hand-held American flags will
be given to spectators. Free.
LAUNCH Kickoff Party, 5 to 7 PM, White
Columns, Kennebunkport. Enjoy live music,
delicious bites, great conversation and the
debut of Kennebunkport Brewing Company’s
Launch! Ale.

highlights local shops and collect
stamps from each location; return your

entered in a drawing for prizes.
Living History Costumed Storytell-ers, 10 to 4 PM, locations throughout
Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.
Kennebunkport Brewing Company Tour, 11 AM to 5 PM, KBC Shipyard
Store, 8 Western Ave. #14, Kennebunk. The
opportunity to learn and taste a variety of
hand-brewed Shipyard/Kennebunkport Brew-
ing products. Free.
Kennebunk Historic District Walking Tours, 1 to 3 PM, Br ick Store Museum,
117 Main St., Kennebunk. Outdoor walking
tours of Kennebunk’s National Register His-
toric District. Tours depart from the Museum,
last 60-90 minutes, and cover less than a mile
on sidewalks and flat terrain. $5 per person.
Landing School Boat Launch, 3 PM,
Kennebunk River Basin, Mat Lanigan Bridge.

student boats along the river and from the
bridge and sidewalk in Dock Square and

Kennebunkport Historic District Walking Tour, 3 to 4 PM, White Columns, 12 Maine
St., Kennebunkport. Walking tour is a 1-mile
walk through historic Kennebunkport. 45-
minute tour, $10 per person.
River Tree Arts Artisan Show featuring Maritime Works Opening, 4:30 to 7:30
