The Last Minutes...

The world has just witnessed yet another tragedy; the crash of Egyptair MS804 flight that took the lives of 66 human souls; may they rest in peace. Since the tragedy has taken place, I have been feeling all sorts of emotions; I kept observing people’s reactions around me, while following closely speculations and opinions being shared bluntly through media channels. All types of fiction and non-fiction scenarios have been shared suggesting what might have happened; people went from being numb from the shock, to being sad, then angry; then sad again...And in the middle of this mess, some of the victims stories started surfacing bringing a heart-felt agony and pain.

Most of the victims look so familiar even though I knew none of them personally; their stories are so relatable and the fact that their lives most probably criss-crossed with mine in some way makes me feel I’m a part of this tragedy; I’m grieving in a way. And no, I won’t even dare to say that I came close to understanding the pain of the victims’ families; may God give them the strength and patience to go through such loss. All I’m saying is that for some reason death feels much closer now, and since then, I can’t help but wonder how their last minutes might have been like. It terrifies me actually! Which I know is a shameful thing to say. Here I am sitting behind a laptop writing, wondering, and feeling terrified, while 66 people actually lived that terror. So for that I sincerely apologize, but I can’t help how I feel.

I’ve never been a fan of flying; I have taken my very first flight back in 2012, and I had a panic attack before boarding. I, along with most of my friends and family, thought it’s just your typical phobia, but I knew it got nothing to do with that. What scared me the most is that I might be dying and I’m definitely not ready to go; the same fear I got before taking a highway for the first time, getting into an old screeching elevator on my own, etc. And while the intensity of my fear varies, the reason stays the same, and again I keep wondering what my last minutes would be like; will I see it coming? Will I even realize that it’s the end? What flashbacks will I get? Too many questions run into my head, but the most important one stays...Will I be ready? And I keep on wondering...

My sincerest condolences goes out to all the families who suffered from this disaster.

The Ministry of Housing represented by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and Saudi-Egyptian Alliance Mountain View-Sisban, a leading Saudi investment company

with multiple partnerships both in the Kingdom and overseas, unveiled Egypt’s biggest upcoming project, the $3.6 billion Mountain View iCity which is set to be developed in New Cairo City with investments exceeding $3.6 billion. The project’s general layout will encompass a comprehensive urban community that will meet the requirements of sustainable development in Egypt according to world-class standards and the latest in architectural design.

Set to be built in New Cairo City, the project aims to provide modern, affordable residential units, while providing more than 200,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. The total area of the project is 2.1 square kilometers. Mountain View iCity is one of the first major projects in Egypt to be based on a public-private partnership, in which Mountain View-Sisban will own 60 percent, with the remainder belonging to the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority. The memorandum of understanding was signed at the Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm Al-Sheikh. The project aims to press on with real estate development and investment by providing modern, affordable housing. Dar Al Mimar Group, in partnership with CallisonRTKL Associates, a major architectural house, will jointly draw the design and layout of the project, which is set to combine innovative design with modern construction. The company said that Mountain View iCity is a paragon of innovative solutions that will transform real estate development in Egypt and the Middle East.“Today we are reaping the benefits of the Egypt Economic Development Conference in Sharm Al-Sheikh,” said Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development. “This

project reaffirms the confidence investors have in every facet of the Egyptian economy, and especially in the real estate sector, one of the pillars of our national economy.” Among the smart technologies the project will spearhead is the I-Villa concept, which has inspired architectural design and innovative use of space as its hallmarks. With areas ranging from 100 to 500 square meters, I-Villas will be designed like villas but sized like apartments, each with its own entrance, green space and parking. Ali Al-Sharif, the President of Sisban Holding, said that the Mountain View iCity project would add more value to the Egyptian national economy, especially given that it sparks off the beginning of a complementary partnership with the Egyptian government, not to mention the many opportunities it has to offer to Egyptians. Mountain View iCity is a great opportunity to assert confidence in the stability of the Egyptian market and its appeal to national and international investors,” Amr Soliman, Chairman of Mountain View, said in his speech at the ceremony. Mr. Soliman stated that exclusivity, innovative architectural design, and excellent locations are what set all of Mountain View’s projects apart. He also added that Mountain View iCity will be built according to world-class environmental standards, with smart solutions to separate human traffic from automotive traffic. Space will be put to the best possible use by innovatively employing empty spaces as green areas.

When OPPO set out to design the F1 Plus, it wanted to create a light, thin and comfortable device. It’s not only comfortable in the user’s hands, but also secure thanks to its non-slippery metal surface. Other features of the F1 Plus phone include its VOOC Flash Charge, the fastest and safest charging technology.

The OPPO F1 Plus smartphone is definitely a phone to be obtained as it provides a more refined user experience. It is not only simpler and easier to use, but also faster, smoother and delivers the best selfies in town. The OPPO F1 Plus certainly deserves the name, the “Selfie Expert”.

Since its inception in 2004, the leading global technology brand, OPPO Mobile, has made its main focus and greatest concern the creation of smartphones with exceptional photography features and remarkable selfie options, especially that photography in general and the “Selfie” trend in particular are

taking the world by storm.

Smartphones have established themselves as the new personal cameras for this digital generation, making the camera the most important factor for an ever-increasing number of smartphone buyers. OPPO has long focused on pushing the boundaries of mobile photography. Its latest release, the new OPPO F1 Plus – named the “Selfie Expert” – is proof of this company’s dedication towards devising the ideal selfie and photography expert smartphone. OPPO has launched the F1 Plus Camera phone in Egypt, Cairo on 31st May, 2016 in a posh ceremony full of fabulous surprises at the remarkable Baron Palace in Heliopolis.

One of the main features of the new “Selfie Expert” is its 16MP Front-facing camera. This camera allows for incredible selfies with its Panorama 120° wide angle, giving effortless yet spectacular results. It was exclusively designed for OPPO and the F1 Plus with the ability to pick up four times the incoming light as other smartphone cameras. The OPPO F1 Plus houses this camera with ISOCELL technology, which effectively reduces the interference between pixels, so that each and every photo will be clear and with the least amount of noise possible. The OPPO F1 Plus does not only possess features of precision and utmost photo clarity, but is also endowed with the Beautify 4.0 camera bundle, which will highlight the best features of the photo taken while minimizing any unwanted flaws.

The Cast of Fast 8 Starts Filming After many speculations have surfaced discussing the future of the blockbuster ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise following the sudden death of one of its lead characters, Paul Walker, producers and cast put all the rumors to rest and announced the start of ‘Fast 8’ movie. ‘Eshtebak’ Represents Egypt in Cannes Film Festival Egyptian art has unfortunately been away from the international scene for a period of time now, and that’s what makes the Egyptian presence in Cannes film festival this year extra special. In Eshtebak, also known as ‘Clash’, Young Egyptian Director Mohamed Diab, tells the story of the chaotic period that followed Arab Spring. Diab managed to capture the true essence of that era, through gathering the various factions into the back of a police van, in which the whole movie has been shot. The reviews for Eshtebak has been astonishing with critics calling it “Cannes Hidden Gem.”

ABC’S oF Post-MakeuP Facial cleansing

Toner:Pores need to be tightened,

toners might not be for everyone yet Rose water is all natural and does

magic. Apply it to a cotton pad and gently wipe over your skin. Pay careful attention to

the area around your nose which is an area often overlooked, but very visible.

Moisturizer:Last but not least, moisturizing your face is really important to maintain a fresher look;

so don’t forget to apply your night/ day cream, and your eye cream as well.

by: amina meTWaLLy

Applying make-up is always a fun thing to do, and we tend to spend more time and pay more attention when applying it than when removing it. After a long day, your face has makeup and dirt on it; the last thing you want to do is leave it there over night. Makeup removal and cleansing is as important as skin preparation before applying makeup. So here are some basic steps to makeup removal and skin cleansing:

Use a Reliable Makeup Remover:

We are all tempted to remove our makeup us-ing common facial wash, thinking this is the easiest

and fastest way to do it; unfortunately, this is not the right way to do it. Use a makeup remover to remove your eye

makeup and foundation. There are different products that you can pick from depending on your skin type.

Oily / Combination Skin: You can use Neutrogena wipes for oily skin or Bioderma Crealine

H2O makeup remover.

Dry Skin: Use Nivea daily essentials 3 in 1 water proof makeup

remover. For balm cleansing, use Clinique and Bioderma Crealine Lait. And you can always use Coconut or

Almond oil as a makeup remover which is all natural.

Facial Cleanser:It is very important to pick the right cleanser

for your skin type. If you have an oily skin use a gel cleanser that will clean your pores leaving a non-greasy feel.

If you have dry skin, use a cream cleanser; also, using a wash cloth is highly recommended.

LEARN FRoM CELEBRITIES’ MISTAKES

Hairdos That you Should Never Try...NEVER!

Nicki Minaj has decided to publicly share her affection for nature’s wild creatures. She could’ve easily worn a leopard print purse; but No! Not Minaj! Definitely not Minaj.

In the middle of Miley Cyrus’s controversial spree, her punk rock spikes was like the cherry on the top!

Fashion designer/icon Nicole Richie has taken the 2013’s met gala “Chaos to couture” too literal with a once-in-a-life-time frosty like grayish hairdo. May the Force be With you Nicci.

Only Katy Perry can go there! The Fireworks singer is known for her rainbow-ranged hairdos, but with that “technicolor” ponytail, she sure had left a mark...

Rachel Mccadams might have won our hearts over with her role in the ‘Notebook’, but she has definitely raised some eyebrows with this girl scout/ punk-wannabe hairdo!

Apparently Scarlett Johansson hasn’t always nailed that perfect look that gets us all a little bit envious. As hard as it is to believe, Scarlett Johansson had grown a mullet one time!

STyLINg TIp: CONCrETE WALLS AND FLOOr TILES The base for a cozy and stylish bathroom is the walls and the floor. You can create amazing inspiring colour palettes and work with different materials. Go for plastered walls in a soft colour such as beige, licht grey or off white, and combine this with materials as wood and beautiful handmade tiles for the floor or walls from The Nile Co. This gives the bathroom a Scandinavian yet bohemian look.

STyLINg TIp: COLOur pALETTE After the basics for the colour palette and materials are set, you can continue with this colour palette in the accessories in the space. Such as towels, guest towels, a small rug and small accessories next to the sink. As you can see, the trendy colour yellow, really stands out in this clean bright bathroom.

STyLINg TIp: rOuND SHApES AND INDuSTrIAL LOOKRound shapes, you see them everywhere! They give every room a lightly and playfull look. You can implement this look in an industrial style. Think about round self standing sinks, two big mirrors and a home-made lighting piece. Make something, for example this lighting, yourself to add a personal touch.

STyLINg TIp: OpEN STOrAgE SOLuTIONS You don’t have to hide all your products behind the doors of the cupboards, you can show your stuff ! Hang some wooden shelves on the wall and decorate this with folded towels, soap and pots. In a open basket you can store your favorite beauty products. Use hammam towels in the bathroom to add some colour and it’s a beautiful decoration. Of course you can use the towels too, available at Yurtcollection.com.

SHOppINg TIpS: grEEN IN THE bATHrOOM I believe that plants are good for every room in the house, even in the bathroom. I prefer to put some bigger/stronger plants and hanging planters to give the room a lively look. Put a wooden bench and a decoration ladder to put and hang your stuff on, like towels, soap and lotions. The mix of materials, the green and the delicious smell of the pure soaps will add some meditteranean touches, where you can dream away, relax and have some me time!

TRAVEL CoMPANIoNSThe Hidden Treasures of My Journeyby: Fady Hanna

38 | June 2016

At the time of writing this piece, I had traveled to 91 countries across the world and the greatest

treasure I have right now out of all this traveling is the list of friends I have from all around the world. It’s a pity though that we can’t all meet at the same time; however, it feels great to know all those great people.

While traveling, you’ll get to see other travelers that share the same adventure with you. It’s not luck that brought you together to be staying over at the same hostel. I had lived in England, and made friends from England and Greece who came over and visited Egypt. I have backpacked to Scotland and Northern Ireland and made friends

there whom I met again in Turkey and later on they made it also to Egypt. In my 35 days backpacking trip in Europe back in 2008, where I started in Lisbon, Portugal and then went east, by the time I was in Italy I had already made a bunch of new friends. Actually, I never felt lonely or bored traveling Solo. Traveling on my own always gave

Page 41: June's issue 2016

June 2016 | 39

me the opportunity to make new friends and this added a lot to my traveling experience. When you meet other travelers, you’ll get to know about traveling from another traveler’s perspective, you might even get to know places to visit that were not on your list but they happen to be exceptional. You’ll get free tips and sometimes even free rides but most importantly you’ll have a great company. For example, I had met people from Brazil and Netherlands in Germany where were decided to hang out for the rest of our time in Berlin together and then continue traveling to

West Germany later on. Also, one of my greatest experiences is the moment I entered the hostel dorm in Buenos Aires in Argentina, I found a group of international travelers who either just met, met few hours ago or maximum knew each other for 24 hours! I came all the way from Cairo which was a 5 hours flight to Amsterdam followed by a hectic 14 hours flights to Buenos Aires after a sleepless night. I was really tired but it was Friday night and they invited me to join them their party which I had no idea about! I decided to make it, it was lots of fun! You’ll get to know that

the unplanned things like that turn out to make the biggest memories.

After the amazing Argentinean experience, I hiked the Andes Mountains in Chile with another group of international travelers before making it to Rio de Janiero and meeting a Brazilian couple who took me around the city and we’re good friends until today. Having friends is a treasure, so imagine if the friends are from all over the world? Like the saying “the world is a book and those who don’t travel read only one page”. Happy travels!

What are the causes of teeth clenching while sleeping?

doctor’s answer:Sinuses. Most pain in or around an eye is from sinusitis or headache. Pain reliever and decongestant should relieve it. If not, or if it is getting worse, go see your doctor. It could also be due to an eye problem such an inflammation (called uveitis) in or around the eye. You need to see an eye doctor to really rule this out.

doctor’s answer:No; that is actually good to do. Too much water though can cause pain. So don’t drink like 1 Litre or more; just a normal glass or two of water.

doctor’s answer:Yes, as long as he doesn’t have a soy allergy. Does he normally drink soy milk or are you giving it to him because of the diarrhea? Sometimes soy is more easily digested than cow’s milk. It may not make a difference, but it certainly won’t be harmful.

doctor’s answer:Abnormal bite. Although teeth grinding can be caused by stress and anxiety, it often occurs during sleep and is more likely caused by an abnormal bite or missing or crooked teeth.

expert’s answer:Bakers Cyst behind the knee will present in this way. If the tingling or pain progresses then seek immediate care. Rarely a vascular occlusion or compartment syndrome can produce these symptoms. Even less common is this an early symptom of AIDP (in which case progressive weakness would ensue). Orthopedic injury is typically more painful.

doctor’s answer:The description sounds like hangnails which I think of as being related to dry skin. This can especially be a problem from dry weather and frequent hand washing. Regular use of a good moisturizer can help a lot.

doctor’s answer:It might be congestion with pregnancy, or just mild viral upper respiratory infection, causing itchy eyes and sneezing. Nasal congestion that occurs during pregnancy is common, and more towards the last trimester, relieved after birth.

love & relationships

by: Lauren K. CLarK

STEAK AND GRAVY LoVEPrivacy, Space, and the Smothering of Marital Relationships

Every marriage goes through its own roller coaster ride. A period of ups and downs, swirls, zig zags, lefts, rights, circles, and every type of style and design that is possible. A colorful and shapely arrangement of possibilities within the relationship factor. In all honesty, it is the healthy way.

Movement in a relationship means that thereis still life within it. Now whatever shape and style you would like to move within the relationship is between a husband and wife. Simultaneously, part of the battle in moving is to determine which route to go, and the path to avoid crossing. And there are certain shapes that should be avoided.

Boundaries is the key! Of course it is alright for one to want to be around their partner, spend the most intimate of sessions with them, and feeling nourished within their

Page 57: June's issue 2016

June 2016 | 55

presence. However, let it be known; there is one little thing called. . .SPACE! Yes, and every couple needs it. BREATHING ROOM and TIME APART continues a healthy movement that one seeks and desires in a relationship. Part of the magic in creating a relationship or marriage is that each individual brings in their own persona and identity in the relationship. Which is quite simple. Having that time to break apart means that there is room for a marriage to GROW!

Take this metaphor. If you water and feed a plant, all the while providing it with the sunlight that it needs, do you stand over it the entire time, watching it grow? Think about it. You clean the rest of your house, do your groceries, go to work, etc., etc.,etc., and etc. Coming through after a late night, you switch on the light and check on your

plant. Giving it the love and attention its needs, and the space it requires. Days pass by and you notice flowers are blossoming and the stems are stronger. Now you are able to enjoy its beauty! Do you get the picture? So let’s rewind to a few editorials ago, the theme regarding successful partnerships, and what makes a relationship tick! Yes, REWIND! You see Darlings, HER STORY can always repeat itself if we do not study HER. Just hearing the video tape now, as it rewinds back to the time when the two of you all JUST MET. You had your life. He had his. You were content in your social life, hanging out with friends, hobbies, and felt good in taking yourself out. Let’s take a trip “Back Down Memory Lane,” as the late Minnie Riperton would suggest! Did your relationship turn into an “overnight” success? Or was there work involved in growing a bond together? Did you all find yourselves consistently over each other 24-7 without any room to breathe? Of course not! That is NEVER any fun. Cutting off each other’s breathing room ensures that both of you all suffocate. And that leads us to another issue.

Privacy. Yes, an important factor within all marriages. Whether it’s quiet time or personal belongings, respect of your partner’s personal intimacy is so important. Meaning that you truly value their healing time and healing space. It is also a manner of trust. Going through your spouse’s phones, clothes, or impeding their quiet time shows another missing element---COMMUNICATION! A huge indicator that you and your spouse are not DISCUSSING your insecurities, concerns, or whatever the hell is bothering you. And let’s add a third arena that has not been set—BOUNDARIES. Very apparent that many lines have been crossed. Thereby leading to a loss of respect for each other!>>

Take this metaphor. If you water and feed a plant, all the

while providing it with the sunlight that it needs, do you stand over it the entire time,

watching it grow? Think about it.

Page 58: June's issue 2016

56 | June 2016

Alright! So now that we have covered the issue of personal space, boundaries, and communication, it is important that we venture into our STEAK and GRAVY checkpoint! Yes, in the Spirit of GRAVY, have you been smothering your relationship and partner too much? A very important question, indeed. Let’s examine more of our STEAK and GRAVY plates!

• pLATE 1: The blowing up of phones—When you and your spouse examine your phones during the day, do you notice that you have over 30 missed calls and text messages? Yes, it sounds a little crazy. . .extreme even, but is it far from the truth?

• pLATE 2: Whenever the two of you are alone in the house, if you don’t hear him/ her within a 5-minute time period do you find yourself roaming through the house? As opposed to simply taking a breath and MAYBE. . .just maybe, thinking that your husband or wife wants to have some alone time. Hmm. . . . let’s keep going!

• pLATE 3: Snooping through your partner’s belongings. Well, isn’t that nice. I guess we can presume it’s your “loving” way of wanting to get

closer to them more. This “spiritual bond” of connecting with their energies. Sure it is! Now that you are BACK in dream land, how about you do your relationship a favor and BACK OFF!

• pLATE 4: Have you ever had that feeling of wanting to drive around to see what it is your spouse is getting into? When he is hanging out with his friends, or what he is doing with his free time? So again, we are back to the TRUST factor! Which means that, AGAIN, there is a lack of communication. And all you need to do is. . .ASK.

Well. . .who knew that Steak and Gravy could be so versatile? Smothered richly and creamy to eat, nicely cut to size and proportion. Juicy, tender, and leaving that delicate sensation for your taste buds. And GRAVY. . .LOTS and LOTS of Gravy! Ramadan is coming soon, and as if it’s not enough that it’s coming in the middle of a heat wave, it’s coming in the middle of school exams as well (Lucky us, right?). Yes, it might not be the ideal scenario, but there is actually some very efficient ways, which would make exams period easier for you, and which would boost your child concentration and overall performance. Here are three main guidelines to follow:

Mindset and StressAs a student, or as a mother of a student, you have to realize that a big part of the stress and tiresome you’re feeling is in your head, and this what makes it really controllable. Yes for the first couple of days, the new Ramadan routine might need some getting used to, but it’s not supposed to stay for long. So don’t let your mind play games and convince you that you won’t be able to focus or study just because you’re fasting! This is not really the case. In the matter of fact, according to many studies,

fasting helps in cleansing the mind and body; so don’t let the negative lazy vibes get to you. Set a schedule before Ramadan, and keep telling your child that they can do it! They can be as efficient as during any other month..

NutritionAs a mother, you play a huge role in the nutrition department. Keeping your child hydrated should be at the top of your priorities’ list. Unfortunately, this Ramadan, the time between Iftar and sohour is really tight, but that doesn’t change

the minimum of 8 glasses of water per day rule. Let’s avoid spicy food and reduce the amount of salt added to your meals. We know it’s hard to exclude the scrumptious Ramadan desserts, but they are not really the healthiest when it comes to nutrition value. You should incorporate more dates and fresh fruit instead. There are also certain foods that would help one stay fuller for longer, like eggs, legumes, Greek yogurt, and almonds.

ramadan HabitsThe big family gatherings, the late night tv watching, pulling all-nighters, are just few of the Ramadan habits that need some restructuring during Ramadan. For starters, you don’t have to go to every single gathering you get invited to; and no it’s not a good idea to have the family over while you son/daughter doing their best to concentrate. Putting a structure is essential, yet don’t make them feel like they are in a boot camp! It will just add to the stress. They

can watch some tv, and they can attend one family gathering or two; as long as they are following their schedule and not lagging behind, they have every right to enjoy the beautiful holy Ramadan ambiance. Also, sleeping patterns are really important during Ramadan.

Did you go down in the streets recently? Did you see a big tent full of huge glass-stained lamps and big bags of nuts in the streets? Did the timeless jingles start playing on loop on the radio and on tv? That’s right, you guys, Ramadan is here. Beautiful Ramadan, where people get together, families reunite, prayers become more beautiful than ever, and of course…we eat our body weight every day like the revenge of spartans on their enemies.

The beautiful month of Ramadan is a time to get closer to god, to empathize with those who are suffering and generally try to be better people. However, we spend it thinking of different ways we can stuff food in our faces the second we hear the maghreb prayers.

In my book, Ramadan is divided into three parts. The first ten days; these are when we visit our families and have them visit us. Each day we either meet at Tant Afaf ’s or Uncle Ashraf ’s house, we bring dessert and we half-heartedly offer to help in the kitchen. The more distant the family, the more food you find on the table. What, do you want Tant Sanaa to make fun or Tant Afaf for not making enough food to feed a tiny village? Are you insane? Well, I should add an amendment that the first two days act as a sub category. The days when we wake up and remember we cannot eat or drink anything. Smokers and coffee addicts, God be with you.

The second ten days are when we rediscover Cairo’s night life; everywhere is suddenly awesome and we have to fit them all in those ten days. Of course, by

then the concept of sleep has already been long gone. From the 40+ TV shows, to Tant Afaf insisting you eat another piece of Konafa Bel Manga (aaaah Konafa Bel Manga) and then having to go to this just wonderful place your friend Aya insisted that you should be at, there is really very little time for any shut eye before you have to wake up for work…which of course, we all just love in Ramadan.

The final ten days remind me of finals week in university; we suddenly remember that “hey, this is Ramadan, we should be praying, we should be reading Qur’an. We are running out of time.” After a brief moment of panic, everyone is cut off from your life and you pray none stop. Three years ago, when we discovered that Ramadan was going to fall on summer months, everyone thought that “Ramadan and summer don’t mix” (you read that in his accent didn’t you?). But after our first August Ramadan, we…made…it…work.

For starters, I think you’ll all agree with me when I say that Iftar by the beach is just what the doctor ordered. We found a way to stuff our faces full of food WHILE looking out at the beautiful waters and wondering what we will have for sohour there. It was a nice change of scenery.

Of course, being our beautifully creative Egyptian selves, we Summer-ized Ramadan by adding manga to everything. Whenever came up with that invention, God bless you, I love you…let’s be best friends. Heck I’ll have konafa belmanga every dessert this Ramadan if I have to. I love that thing.

Now, before this article turns into a tribute to Konafa Bel Manga, which I would happily have it be. Let’s talk about other beautiful things that happen in Ramadan, like the TV shows. Well, the three good ones that come along with about 300 bad ones. But, these testaments to Egyptian art aren’t just good for their content, if you notice, the only time the whole family hangs out together, agreeing on one channel and actually paying attention to the TV is when those shows are on.

Ramadan comes every year stock full of beautiful things to think about. Family, food, beach, entertainment, Konafa Bel Manga (ok I’ll shut up about it) and prayers. Happy Ramadan everyone, Hope you all have a great one.

GemInIMay 21 - June 20

LIFE: Your life pace is slowing

down; embrace it and take advantage of the timeout the universe is giving you.

Shift your attention towards finishing pending projects and put your self-care as a

priority.

LOVE:You’ll find yourself in the

middle of all sorts of mixed signals. What you need to do is to focus on strengthening your bond with your loved one, and stop trying to fix everything on your own.

CArEEr: Caution is the keyword in that area. Your leadership

might be put to test, so keep your eye on the ball; don’t rush into decisions and use

your resources wisely.

FASHION TIp: A true Gemini knows her

way around layers of bling bling; it gives you a special accent. Use your talent and accessorize your way to the

perfect outfit.

CANCEr: Due to the powerful impact

of Mars in your horizon, you’ll find yourself forced to confront long-avoided scars from your past. Don’t worry, confrontation will help you

grow and move on.

LEO: Teamwork is the best strategy

to follow this month; you will shine your way through group activities whilst being

able to leave your mark.

VIrgO: Good News! This month is all about harmony in your

household, which will further strengthen your bond with

your significant other.

LIbrA: You’ll find it easier to let your

guards down and open up to people. This would help you blossom in your career and with those close to you

as well.

SCOrpIO: Things might not be going

your way this month, but with every frustration there is a

room for growth. You need to eliminate stress and keep your

temper under control.

SAgITTArIuS: It’s a month of energy and

opportunities for Sagittarians. Opportunities for new

romance might be refolding soon, and you’ll finally be

able to climb your way to the top in your career.

CAprICOrN: Don’t let the load of

responsibilities outweigh your magnitude of love to

your partner. Try to develop a common ground through

which your relationship could grow and thrive.

AquArIuS: It’s time you put yourself first and meet your own needs for a change. You might find it

hard to get in touch with your emotions, but it will allow you to grow beyond your

expectations.

pISCES: You might be facing some

challenging during the beginning of that period,

but don’t let that bring your down. Your energy will be

bumping up again and you’ll get your enthusiastic self back

on track.

ArIES: You have to give extra

attention to your communication; make sure

your intentions and the message you want to deliver

are loud and clear to the ones receiving it.

TAuruS: For the sake of your mental health and inner peace, try to keep things harmonious with people around. This is

the only way you’ll reach that tuneful state of mind you

desperately need this month.
