Reproductionist Linda Danielson/Samplers Remembered, reproduced Nicola's 1818 sampler in the manner in which she imagined thatNicola did, using the threads she had on hand. Nicola's antique sampler uses drab colors of gold, blue, green, and brown, but Lindadecided to use some of the beautiful threads she had in her collection in a "riot of color" and it reminded her of a fiesta ~ thus its name,"Fiesta." The chartpack ($12) lists the colors Linda used, but she urges you to sift through your stash of threads and stitch with thethreads you have at hand, creating your own unique piece from this antique pattern reproduction.
