Have a great idea for a new business, but don’t know where to get started? Try the government. Whether you’re looking for an app to help you get

advice on the go, or reading material on how to get started, USA.gov has the information you need:

Federal and state governments offer a large variety of free resources to people looking for small business help. USA.gov’s small business section helps you find government resources to start, operate and expand a business and much more.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) can help you with management, technical, and training issues, or help you find your loan and funding options from multiple government organizations. The SBA app helps you find local advisers who can give you free one-on-one help for growing your business. Use the calculator to figure out costs of starting a new business, and catch up on all the

All school age students look forward to their summer vacations. Most of those students along with their parents begin to plan for the following school year. Getting ready to go back to school is fun. They are able to buy new uniforms, back packs and school supplies. However, some of our children are not looking forward to this time of the

year because their parents can’t afford to buy even the basic school supplies. This is where the

members of the Santa Cruz Community come in. Thanks to Safeway, Inc., who has partnered with many other organizations and businesses, we will be sponsoring our very first annual Jump Back to School Fair. We now have the opportunity to provide some of the basic needs for our Nogales Unified School District students from Kindergarten through Grade 5. You can get involved by either giving financial donations or through a corporate or individual sponsorship. This would include a booth promoting health, wellness or other school related activities with volunteering and in kind contributions.

For more information, please contact: Denisse Melendez at the Santa Cruz County Superintendent of Schools Office, 2150 N. Congress Dr.,

Nogales, AZ 85621 or at (520) 375-7940.
