Hello everyone!

I hope you all are continuing to have an amazing Summer and are dedicating time to serve your community. Key Club never stops!

Summer is half way over, which means school is about to begin. It can be hard to get 50 hours during the school year with jobs, sports, and other extra curricular activities. Start getting service hours now so you won’t be as stressed during the school year.

Keep your club active! If you have any projects, meetings, or socials you’d like me to attend, please let me know. I’d love to meet you and your club soon!

If you all have any questions, comments, or concerns, call/text me at 918-214-9099 or email me at [email protected].

Yours In Service,

Shelby Adams

Looking for an AMAZING way to recruit new members, keep your club active over the summer, and to have fun? Have a social!! All you have to do is meet up somewhere that people like and bond as a club! It’s as simple as that! Booker T. Washington held an amazing social at Yolotti on June 6th! It was amazing to bond with the club and hear about their plans for the year!! I know they have an amazing year ahead of them.

On July 4th, the Dewey High School Key Club spent their day volunteering with the Kiwanis at “Freedom Fest”. Freedom Fest is an annual event, put on by the Kiwanis, to celebrate the brave men and women who have fought for our country. Freedom Fest has all kinds of festivities for children of all ages and for adults. Some games include, bounce houses, dunk tanks, the slime machine, the patriotic kids parade, the talent show, and so much more! Festivities are followed by a spectacular fire work show! The Dewey High School Key Club worked the Slime Machine. The goal was for kids to hit a target with a baseball. If the kids hit the target, slime would fall onto a Key Clubber standing underneath a bucket filled with slime! Not only was this fun for the Key Club members, but it was the perfect opportunity to bond with their sponsoring Kiwanis Club, the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Bartlesville!
