MACHINE EMBROIDERY FOR BEGINNERS—

This is a great class to get started with machine embroi-

dery. We will learn about stabilizers, threads and so

much more with tricks for making your projects suc-

cessful. Any brand machine welcome but you must have

basic knowledge of your machine. Sewing machine with

embroidery unit required.

Mon. July 11 & 18 6-8 pm—$30

FAT QUARTER POP-UP—The Fat Quarter Pop-Up is

a fun little container that is collapsible. All you need to

add is a FQ of fabric and stabilizer and once you make

one, you'll be hooked. Also great to make out of a lefto-

ver t-shirt. Sewing machine required.

BEYOND BEGINNING QUILTING - This class

expands on your skills by learning to square up blocks,

the importance of accurate piecing and cutting plus oth-

er quilting skills. Good follow up class to our Beginning

Quilting Class. Pattern choice needs to be approved by

instructor. Sewing machine required.

CHARM PACK CHURN DASH—This great pattern

from a new designer is quick and easy to make using a

charm pack and background fabric. Multiple sizes are in

the pattern, you can pick any of them for class. Good

beginner class.

FEED SACKS

These fun little bags are perfect for toting all sorts of

goodies. Best yet you can make all 3 sizes from just one

Jelly Roll. Join Jennifer and she will show you the inter-

facings she likes to incorporate into the bags she makes.

This is a great pattern for beginners!

PAPER PIECING FOR BEGINNERS—Using any design from

the new Kimberbell Sew It By Number book, learn an easy way to

paper piece while creating a darling seasonal project. Sewing ma-

chine required.

BOX IT UP 2—This new pattern uses metal measuring tape for

the top and fabric for the bottom to make several sizes of boxes

to hold all your treasures. Easy to sew and very addictive! Sewing

machine required.

Thurs. July 28 5:30-8 pm—$25

MACHINE BINDING BASICS—Learn great tips for applying

binding with your machine. This technique is sturdier and faster

than sewing your bindings by hand and a great way to feature a

decorative stitch. Sewing machine required.

Mon. Aug. 1 5:30 --8:00 pm —$25

BEGINNING QUILTING - If you’ve ever had the desire to

learn to make a quilt but didn’t know where to start, this is the

class for you! Learn everything you need to know to “get you on

your way” to successful quilt making in this four-week class. Start

with fabric selection, rotary cutting, strip piecing and finish with

layering and binding - plus tips and tricks to use on future projects.

This class specializes in hands-on instruction and individual atten-

tion. Sewing machine required.

T-SHIRT QUILT—Join the t-shirt quilt craze in this three week

class. All aspects of the process will be covered, design, cutting,

PICNIC IN THE PARK—This gorgeous bag was our most pop-

ular pattern at Purse Party for the experienced sewist. Make it to

hold all your sewing supplies or whatever your heart desires. It is

an involved bag but the pattern is very well written. Must have

sewing experience and a quality sewing machine!

LEARN TO HAND EMBROIDER—Learn basic embroi-

dery stitches, how to transfer designs, what floss to use and

more. Hand embroidery is a great, portable project and lots

of fun!

Wed. Sept. 28 5:30-7:30 pm $20

EDGE TO EDGE MACHINE EMBROIDERY—Let

Sandy show you how this Easy-Connect Quilting tech-

nique, combined with specially designed embroidery files,

makes it possible for you to create edge-to-edge quilting

using your home embroidery machine. Embroidery ma-

chine with min. of 6”x9” hoop is required.

BEGINNING MACHINE APPLIQUE – Learn how

to use fusible web successfully and techniques for stitch-

ing straight lines and curves plus getting around those

tricky inner and outer points. You will also learn how to

layer applique pieces to achieve the look you want. Sew-

ing machine required.

FREE MOTION QUILTING ON YOUR

SEWING MACHINE - This is a great 1st class or

skill builder on Free Motion quilting. Jenn has lots of

knowledge to share with you in this non-stressful

SWEET TOOTH REFRESHER CLASS

Have you signed up for the Sweet Tooth block of the

month? Have you set it aside for summer activities and

need some support and motivation to get back to it?

Join Jenn as she demonstrates how to use the rulers and

shows tricks to getting the blocks so nicely put together.

either the new Gazebo, Sprinkles or Boomerang quilts

from Jaybird designs and learn to use the Super Sidekick

niques that apply to all Jaybird patterns. Sewing machine

required.

QUILTING WITH YOUR BABYLOCK DIGITAL

DUEL FEED FOOT— Sandy will teach you lots of

cool quilting tricks using the Digital Duel Feed Foot that

came with your Aria, Crescendo, Journey, Unity or Des-

tiny sewing machine. Quilting your own projects with-

out having to free motion has never been easier. Sewing

machine required.

About Our Classes To sign up for a class, please pre-register to reserve your

space. Classes have a minimum of 4 students and refunds

are available up to one week before the first class ses-

sion. In fairness to the teachers and other students who

have purchased their supplies, we are unable to make

refunds after that time.

Supplies are needed for all classes and a supply list will be

furnished when you register. The class fee covers in-

struction only, but there is a 10% discount on all supplies

needed for the class. Materials for classes at must be

purchased at Quilter’s Cupboard so that we can remain

in business to keep offering you more great classes!

Due to student and teacher allergies, please refrain from

wearing perfumes and scented lotions to class.

MONTHLY CLUBS

GROOVY GIRLS Our most popular club started another 6 month ses-

sion starting in May, it’s just a fun way to spend an hour

and learn a little something new. Cindy will show you

new techniques, fabrics, patterns and tools. Who

knows, you might even receive a free pattern for our

featured project. Club lasts about 1 hour and meets 1st

Friday of the month at 10:30am. Cost is $25 for 6

months or $5 per month, if space allows.
