De la mode à l’objet, HYES est un studio de création indépendant et pluridisciplinai-re. Un parti pris esthétique et éthique, un vocabulaire épuré de formes, de matières et d’images. Une sobriété au énième degré, toujours prête à basculer vers l’outrancier. Un paradoxe en soi.

HYES tend à s’attacher à la permanence

plutôt qu’aux phénomènes cycliques, passagers et tapageurs, à faire circuler

les idées et collaborer les savoir-faire tout en conservant la distance, l’humour ou la

juxtaposition qui fera de tout processus de création une aventure.

Sur notre carnet de notes donc, travailler les arrêtes, les angles et les facettes ; tailler dans la matière comme un diamantaire. Se démultiplier. Être Youn Sun Nah et deve-nir les Double-Six. Ecouter les douces voix des animatrices de FIP. Les fantasmes azi-mutés d’Aki Kaurismäki, le cinéma incon-gru de Wes Anderson, les noirs et blancs de Schatzberg et de Benchetrit. S’imbiber des visions oniriques de Tim Walker, des instantanés de William Klein pour leur construction et des compositions d’André Kertesz pour leur naturel. Jouer sur les dé-calages. Les abstractions peintes de Nick Oberthaler. La nature et surtout la sculp-ture. Le mouvement lorsqu’il est pensé. Les rêves dansants de Pina Baush, la radicalité d’Ivan Perez, les absurdités de Bob Fosse. S’inspirer de la jeune création belge, ne pas oublier Anne-Marie Beretta.

From its style concept straight down to the product, HYES, an independent and multidis-ciplinary creation studio, focuses on the ethical and aesthetic, and creates a unique purified “vocabulary” of shapes, fabrics and imagery. Sobriety is sought to the upmost, yet, always ready to tip into the extreme, a paradox.

HYESadheres to long lasting trends and

ideas rather than cyclical, ostentatious manifestations. It spreads ideas and

encourages “ knowledge-sharing ” while conserving distance, humor and juxtaposition,

making any creation an adventure.

Creation working notebook: work on an-gles and carve into the fabric like a dia-mond cutter. Yet, remain multidisciplinary: be Youn Sun Nah and become Double-Six, listen to the sultry voices on radio FIP, crazy fantasies by Aki Kaurismaki, the unseemly movies by Wes Anderson, the blacks and whites from Schatzberg and Benchetrit, absorb Tim Walker’s halluci-natory visions, snapshots by William Klein, for their construction, and compositions by Andre Kertesz, for their natural feel. Hyes, plays on the discrepancy and painted abs-tractions by Nick Oberthaler; nature and especially sculpture. Movement, comes to life with Pina Baush’s dancing dreams, Ivan Perez’s radicalism, the absurdities created by Bob Fosse. Don’t forget: remain inspi-red by Belgian creation and, and above all, by Anne- Marie Beretta.
