Our story of purpose has seen us evolve into a revolutionary workwear business, supplying quality, strong and durable garments to local and international markets. We want to empower all workers to perform to the best of their ability every day. We believe

in excellent service and products of the highest quality; manufacturing and distributing garments ourselves. This ensures we maintain excellent quality, hold sufficient stock and offer short lead times.

Our manufacturing facilities are based in Lesotho and Mauritius and produce around 40 000 garments a day. These garments are distributed through our state-of-the-art Distribution Centre based in Johannesburg, which has the capacity to move 20 million

pieces annually. Our 8000m2 raw material warehouse based in Durban allows us to efficiently supply raw materials to our various manufacturing plants and further reduce our turnaround times. Although we’re growing rapidly, our journey has just begun.

The Jonsson Workwear Stores are iconic large retail stores that offer the ultimate gateway into the Jonsson Workwear world. These stores supply the full Jonsson range as well as a wide array of PPE for different industries. Every store has friendly, knowledgeable

product experts and its own customising facility.

The Jonsson Workwear Zones are based on the concept of a “store within a store”. These Zones are dedicated Jonsson retail spaces, stocking selected products but offering consumers access to the full range.

Jonsson Workwear Stockists carry a range of industry specific products.

We are privileged to be able to provide workwear solutions to some of the most iconic large companies in southern Africa. Our offering includes corporate workwear, as well as custom made solutions specific to customers’ needs.

Building strong relationships with our corporate customers ensures that we can provide the perfect workwear solution to suit individual working environments. We provide a one stop solution which includes conceptualising, designing and manufacturing.

We pack the garments individually by wearer, and distribute them to each business site.

LAPPED SEAMSThe raw edges of both sides of fabric are completely enclosed thus limiting any chance of fraying. The double or triple needle stitching holding this adds

additional strength and stabilityto the seam.

JW REFLECT is our exclusive reflective tape that is lightweight and flexible. It is made from microscopic glass beads that reflect the light back to the original source to ensure that your visibility is improved

during low light conditions.

PEN DIVISIONThis functional feature found on some shirts and work jackets are designed to fit a pen or carpenters pencil securely. This feature is either stitched or bar tacked on the left of the chest pocket.

We have designed a range of Women’s workwear offering a

flattering, feminine fit.

A bar tack is a small section of reinforced stitching on any stress point, which makes the garment stronger and more durable.

This is a facing behind a zip to provide protection

to the wearer and prevent any contact with the zip teeth against the skin or

under garments.

A concealed inner pocket is a practical and secure

pocket on the inside of the garment, that can be used to

stowaway valuables.

Various industrial washes are done on some of our jeans and heavy cottons, ensuring

that our garments are pre-shrunk for a better

FLAME RETARDANT (W7)The premium, flame retardant fabric finish used on selected garments, provides the first

line of defense against electric arc and flash fire exposure.

The treatment will result in the fabric self-extinguishing when the flame source is removed.

DAY VISIBILITY

Our High Viz range uses fluorescent fabrics which are thoroughly tested to ensure workers stay visible and

protected during the day.

RAINPROOF

Our Wet Weather Gear is made from specialised rainproof fabric. Heat seal tape is applied to the sewn seams to prevent water from leaking through the seams of the garments, ensuring protection

from the elements.

DAY / NIGHT VISIBILITY

We understand that the visibility of workers is essential in numerous

working environments.The fluorescent fabric and reflective

tape that we use on our High Visibility garments ensure

that workers are visible inhigh-risk work environments.

ACID RESISTANT

Our Acid Resistant garmentsare chemically treated to repel

acid splashes, oil and water,and will not be destroyed

by most chemicals.

NIGHT/ LOW LIGHT VISIBILITY

Our highly advanced, JW REFLECT quality reflective tape is used on our High Visibility garments, ensuring that workers are seen during low light conditions when

illuminated by a light source.

Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates the level of the sun’s UV radiation absorbed by the fabric. All Jonsson Workwear garments displaying this icon are rated UPF 50+ for your ultimate protection against the harsh effects of the sun, significantly reducing your skins exposure to UV radiation.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR GARMENTS

Your Jonsson garments are designed to withstand the elements in many different environments, however they will last longer if they’re well taken care of. We encourage you to follow the wash care on each garment label. Generally, we

recommend that you wash your garments in cold water and hang them inside out to prevent fading. Cotton is made to fade, so the best way to hang 100% cotton garments, is out of direct sunlight. It is preferable to not tumble dry your garments as

this may cause shrinkage and fading. Remember to wash dark and light colours separately to avoid the colours mixing.

Our acid resistant and flame retardant garments have been chemically treated to offer thermal protection as well as repel acid splashes, oil and water.

These garments are suitable for industries in which acid resistant or flame retardant garments should be worn, but is often used in environments where employees need to move between departments that require either of the treated garments.

This fabric is tested according to internationally used test methods, including the German Din Test, and meets the SABS 1423 PART 1-1987 for performance requirements for textile fabrics of low flammability. This fabric is SABS Approved.

GUMBOOT CAREFoot hygiene is of par ticular importance when wearing gumboots. This is because sweat cannot be absorbed by PVC and when heat and sweat combine, germs and bacteria form rapidly.

THE INTERIORThe polyester inner sock lining of the Jonsson Workwear Gumboot allows for easy cleaning and quick drying. A mild disinfectant can be used in the interior of the gumboot, but it must be rinsed thoroughly and left to dry. The innersole may be taken out, and once loose dirt is removed, it can be washed with mild soap and water and left out to dry.

THE EXTERIORThe outside of the gumboot can be washed with mild soap and water. Chemicals and solvents should never be used, as these will cause the gumboot to become brittle and crack.

THE TREADTo remove soil build up in the tread pattern of the sole, use mild soap, water and a scrubbing brush.

IMPORTANT!NEVER use heat to accelerate the drying process.
