JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

JOHN 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

JOHN 14:25 ¶ These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

JOHN 14:26 But the Comforter, Which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My name, He shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

~William Branham~ He is all things in the Bible. And if you read the Bible and don't see Jesus, then you better ride back and read that Scripture again.

- Christ is the principle theme of the entire Testaments, given by inspiration that cannot be broken.- He is always present tense… He is always an inspiration!

CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY.OF.GOD.REVEALED_ JEFF.IN

121 He is the principle theme of the entire Bible. If you read the Bible, and don't see Christ in every verse of It, go back and read It again. See? If you can't see Christ in every verse of the Bible, then you read It again, because you've missed something. The Bible is Christ. He is the Word. When you read, "In the beginning God created," there is Christ. See? Every... From that, to the "Amen" in Revelations, is every Word testifying of Jesus Christ.

Page 4: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

From the very beginning in the Book of Genesis, to the "Amen" in Revelations, is every Word testifying of Jesus Christ.

The Evidence Part 8“Comforted by the Word”

ISAIAH 40:1 ¶ Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. ISAIAH 40:2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins.

Comforted 1) to admonish, exhort 2) to beg, entreat, beseech; to strive to appease by entreaty 3) to console, to encourage and strengthen by

consolation, to comfort; to receive consolation, be comforted

4) to encourage, strengthen 5) exhorting and comforting and encouraging 6) to instruct, teach

“teach” – to impart instructions

Page 8: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

- If instructions are being imparted, then it’s something that’s happening in real time. As the message comes forth, it imparts instructions to the age… It brings comfort.

Page 9: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

~Donald Parnell~ “Best way to understand scripture is to apply them to yourself and not to the past nor to the future.

Comment: The Word (or the scripture) can be a comfort to you when you apply it and make it relevant for your day… If we try to apply it to the past or to the future, then it’s not going to be a comfort. Scripture can only be a comfort when it’s applied for your age. If it’s applied in real-time, then it can be a comfort.

Page 10: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

~Donald Parnell~ (Continued) We receive new Word when it is spoken… the Word is new when it comes inside of you.

Comment: When the Word is spoken in the Light of the hour (in real-time), then it’s New Word. When you receive New Word on the inside it brings comfort. Being comfortable has everything to do with being contented within the Word Spoken and made applicable for your day.

Page 11: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

Paul said: Godliness with contentment is great gain. It’s great gain when you have been made comfortable inside your age. When the scripture is made applicable to the present, then it becomes a comfort. When we refused to take in New Word, then we’re not in the position to be made comfortable. Comfort can only come by receiving New Word for your Age. God always brings comfort when He closes out one age and opens up a new age by bringing New Word.

164-3 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5

Remember now, John the Baptist was both the prophet and the messenger of his day. He was filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother's womb. When he was baptizing in Jordan the Word of God (Jesus) came to him. The Word always comes to the truly Spirit-filled. That is the evidence of being filled with the Holy Ghost.

- The Word of God is a Person.

- The angel that steps behind the pulpit is the Person of the Word of God made visible that brings to me the Gospel of good news and breathes it upon me.

Page 13: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

164-3 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5

That is what Jesus said would be the evidence. He said, "And I will pray the Father and He will send you another Comforter that He may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive."  Another – being one more, or, more of the same

- We know that there’s only one Comforter and that One Comforter is the Person of the Holy Spirit. When another Comforter is sent, it is sent that it may come upon the people, therefore making it more of the same.

Page 14: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

- Today, we have a Person (we have the Word of God… we have a Comforter), abiding within us forever. Forever is for a season. The Comforter that comes to us, brings a comfort and it makes us comfortable for the hour in which we are living in.

Page 15: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

THE.IDENTIFIED.CHRIST.OF.ALL.AGES_ LOUISVILLE.MS

He identifies Himself upon the earth, in man. God does nothing without man. GO.WAKE.JESUS_ TUCSON.AZ SUNDAY_ 63-1103 252 God does nothing without human agency. How many... You know that. See? He--He has to use someone.

- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever by using man to display more of the same! He’ll always use man to display more of the same.

Page 16: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

GO.AWAKE.JESUS_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-17 N-9 SATURDAY_ 63-1130E 195 May, as they pass through this line and we lay our hands upon them, may they recognize it's just not just going by man, but God and man is one. God has come into man, and God does nothing apart from man. That's what He does. His works is through man. He made man His partner.

Page 17: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

GOD'S.GIFTS.ALWAYS.FIND.THEIR.PLACES_ JEFF.IN 74 That's the reason that God does nothing outside of a man. He always works through a man because He had to use a man. A man is what He had to use to display His attribute of Saviour. He had to make him in His image, make him something like Him, and put him on free-moral agency and let him act any way he wanted to. He could take his choice. And He knew that man, by giving him this choice, would fall. So being that He had to do that, He turns back around and makes the man a partner to Him, and does nothing except He does it through a man!

Page 18: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

- When God sends a Comforter, He does it through man… He does nothing outside He does it through man! The Prophet of God, (or His Spokesperson) that He sends, is a Comforter to the Age in which he is sent to. God speak directly to His spokesperson and gives him a Word for the Age. The prophet (and the ministry) takes the Word given to the Age and breath it upon the people by speaking the Word given.

Page 19: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

- And I will pray the Father and He will send you another Comforter that He may abide with you forever. Every age had another Comforter sent to them, making them more of the same by the Word of the Hour being breathed upon that He may abide with them forever… Forever is only for a season. A season has everything to do with the age that the prophet of God is sent to. God does nothing outside He does it through man.

Page 20: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

JOHN 6:28 & 29 What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

- Jesus was the man that God was moving through back then for them to believe on… He was the one sent to His generation. If Jesus was the one sent back in His day, and God always uses man, then there has to be someone sent for today. There has to be another comforter (or more of the same) to bring comfort to the people.

Page 21: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

- The work of God for any age is to believe on him whom he hath sent. The one sent is the comforter for the age that he is sent to. He is sent to bring comfort to the Age. If you want to do the work of God, then believe on the one whom he hath sent to you.

Page 22: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

164-3 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 Now we know what Truth is. "Thy Word is Truth.”

- “Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” You shall know the truth when you can accept the truth from the one sent. The one sent is a Comforter to the Age! That’s how you know the Truth… You shall know the truth when you believe it. When you can believe it, then it can set you free.

Page 23: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

164-3 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 Again in John 8:43, "Why do ye not understand My speech? even because ye cannot hear My Word."

 - To be comforted is to hear (or receive) the Word of the Age. Comfort for the age doesn’t come by hearing the Word of another age… comfort comes by hearing the Word for your Age.

Page 24: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5

Did you notice that Jesus said that the world could not receive the Holy Ghost? Well, in this verse I just read, neither could they receive the Word. Why? Because the Spirit and the Word are one, and if you have the Holy Spirit as the prophets, the Word would come to you. You would receive it.

Page 25: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5In John 14:26, "But the Comforter, Which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My name, He shall TEACH you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Remembrance = memory

Page 26: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

- “Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you free from your amnesia… That’s your comfort. The real you got to experience what it was like to go through a period of amnesia from the natural birth to the new birth and then be resurrected out of it. It was a Spiritual awakening that you got to experience coming out of a deep sleep.

Page 27: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 Again in John 16:13 "Howbeit when He the Spirit of Truth (Word) is come, He will guide you into all truth,

- When God sends He the Spirit of Truth (another Comforter), He sends a Person to guide us into all truth for our Day and its Message. This Person isn’t sent to revert us back to a day gone by… this person isn’t sent to take us out into the future. When God sends this Person, He sends him to take the people into all Truth for their Day and Its Message!

Page 28: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5 He will guide you into all truth, (Thy Word is truth), and He shall not speak of Himself: but whatsoever He shall hear (Word of God), that shall He speak (Word): and He will show you things to come." (Spirit bringing the Word of Prophecy).

I want you to note very carefully that Jesus did not say that the evidence of being baptized with the Holy Ghost was speaking in tongues, interpreting, prophesying, or shouting and dancing. He said the evidence would be that you would be in the TRUTH; you would be in the Word of God for your age. Evidence has to do with receiving that Word.

Page 29: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.

165-1 PERGAMEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.5In I Corinthians 14:37, "If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord." Now see that. The proof of the indwelling Spirit was to acknowledge and FOLLOW what God's prophet gave for his age as he set the church in order.

- If there’s real church order, then there’s real comfort.

Page 30: JOHN 14:22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? JOHN 14:23 Jesus answered.
