KEY CLUB

Letter From Your Editor

Dear Key Club Members,

Happy New Year! The service year is coming to an end and we

need you, the members to vote for our 2012-2013 executive board.

Applications are due in February and elections will be held shortly

after. Check your emails and facebook updates for more information!

It’s time to start preparing for the 64th annual leadership training

conference! Each year key clubbers from all over New York gather to

acknowledge each other’s accomplishments and meet new people.

It is a time for bonding, learning, fun, and experience. If you are

interested in attending, email the board!

Recently there has been few events but that shouldn’t stop you

from writing articles. Write about your impressions of key club before

and after you joined. Or write about your experiences/favorite event.

Send your articles to

[email protected].

DISTRICT NEWS

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

Hey New York District Key Clubs!

It's time to start the countdown to the 64th Annual Leadership Training Conference! This

year, LTC will occur on March 30th to April 1st and we're expecting record numbers of

Key Clubbers. Join in on a weekend full of workshops, elections, dances, a talent show,

and tons of opportunities to socialize with Key Club members from all over the state. Be

there to usher in a new service year, as well as run for higher office or share a vote in de-

termining the new District Board. LTC is an unforgettable chance to learn, have fun, and

most importantly, celebrate the values of service that we all aspire to!

BE PART OF KEY LEADER 2012

This could be your New Year’s resolution: to be part of Key Leader. Key Leader is a week-

end experience that teaches high school–age students like you about leading by serv-

ing. After these talks, workshops and team building exercises, participants leave the

weekend with newly-formed friendships, renewed self-awareness, a heart for service and

confidence in their own leadership abilities.

Start by finding events near you. You’ll find the Key Leader schedule for 2012 online. Then

add some of those dates to your brand-new 2012 calendar. Check back often as the list

is updated regularly.

KEY Clubber of JANUARY

THIS

COULD

BE

YOU!

What does it mean to be “Key Clubber of the Month”?

We give out this award each month to a particular key club member

who has made the most impact on our club for that month. In order to

get this award you have to attend events, and participate. We want to

see someone who is actively helping and contributing to their

community. But we also want to see someone who is representing

Brooklyn Tech, and most importantly, key club. This member should be

the role model for other members.
