Green Day Well, all of you must have obviously heard about Green Day and if
not, maybe the song “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” might sound
somewhat familiar.
Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 by lead
vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt.
For much of the group's career, the band has been a trio with drum-
mer Tré Cool, who replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer in
1990.
Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead vocalist, primary songwriter, and
guitarist was raised in Rodeo, California. Armstrong developed an
interest in music at a young age, and recorded his first song at the
age of five. He met Mike Dirnt while attending elementary school
and the two instantly bonded over their mutual interest in music,
forming the band Sweet Children when the two were 15 years old.
The band changed its name to Green Day, and later achieved mas-
sive commercial success.
The American punk rock band Green Day has released 12 studio
albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, one soundtrack
album, four video albums, 10 extended plays, four box sets,
40 singles, ten promotional singles, and 39 music videos. The band
has sold over 75 million albums worldwide, including more than 23
million in the United States alone.
Their seventh studio album “American Idiot” reignited the band's
popularity with a younger generation. Becoming the band's first
album to top the Billboard 200, American Idiot sold over six mil-
lion copies in the United States and over 14 million copies world-
wide. The album spawned five commercially successful singles:
"American Idiot", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", "Holiday",
"Wake Me Up When September Ends", and "Jesus of Suburbia".
Green Day has recently (October 2016) released their 12th studio
album “Revolution Radio” which gained widespread popularity and
topped the Billboard 200 charts.
Green Day is still going hard making their music and is rising
above names like Linkin Park, Blink-182, Sum 41 and All Time
Low.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike In the opening moments of the annual ‘Bringing The Madness’ show, which saw the brothers return to their home turf of Antwerp, Belgium for a spectacle-filled headline arena, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are shown striding dramatically towards the stage in slow motion. As the arena is bombarded with flashing lights, and one of their unreleased jams ‘Action’ rings out over the speakers, the record’s drop is greeted with the requisite fireworks explosion. With older brother Dimitri settling in behind the decks, it isn’t long before hype-man Mike is reaching out with two mics in his hand, pumping up the crowd. Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios are a Belgian DJ and record producer duo, who get the hype more for their amazing sets than their songs. They first came into the scene in 2010, when they performed for the first time at To-morrowland and made their first anthem. Their first hit was “Ocarina”, the Tomorrowland 2013 anthem, released by their own label “Smash the House”, which hit no. 1 on Beatport in less than 3 days. In 2014, their single 'Tremor' – a collabora-tion with Martin Garrix saw busting Charts and became a huge sensation at Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, etc. 2015 saw the duo's release of their most highly anticipated track "The Hum" produced with Ummet Ozcan which was an instant hit and topped the Beatport Charts, and their deep house collaboration with Ne Yo – “Higher Place”, making them the no.1 DJ’s on DJ MAG. But it’s not the songs that have made them huge, it’s their live performances. The 2015 'Bringing The Madness 3.0' Concert saw an enor-mous sellout of 40,000 tickets in under 40 minutes – a feat previously seen only from the likes of iconic artists U2, Madonna, Coldplay and Beyoncé – encouraging the brothers to add an additional 3rd date to the run of shows and increase the total ticket volume for the opening weekend to an eye-popping 60,000 capacity. Their Tomorrowland sets on YouTube have more than 40 mil-lion views, which they say is their biggest pillar of success. Their sets are all about connecting with the crowd, creating moshpits, causing earthquakes, making the crowd go crazy. Riding high at the top of the pile, party-rockers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are going to continue smashing the house for a long time to come.

Marshmello
Marshmello is one of the known and rising names in the EDM community. He got international recognition in
2015 when he released his remixes of songs like Zedd’s “Beautiful Now” and later released his most success-
ful song “Alone”. Inspired from Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, he always appears wearing a marshmallow helmet
completely covering his head.
He started his career after posting his first song “WaVeZ” on Soundcloud and is steadily gaining popularity. He
currently is ranked 28th on DJ Mag. His musical style includes groove-oriented, synth and bass-heavy electron-
ic dance music. Marshmello performed for the first time in India on 8th October 2016 in Hyderabad and was a
huge success. Despite being so popular, nobody knows his true identity but some people suggest that he may be
American DJ Chris Comstock popularly known as Dotcom.
