Friendly reminder to parents If your child is sick keep them home
but call the school let us know. Fever
greater than 100 degrees, flu like
symptoms, nausea or vomiting needs
to be at home until no symptoms for
24 hours without assistance of
medication.
Flu season is here ~ Please get your
Flu vaccine at the Ware County Health
Department or Private MD. It takes
the vaccine about 6 weeks to build
immunity to the Flu bugs.
Remind your child to cough into
his/her elbow not into the hand. Wash
hands frequently to stop the spread
of GERMS!

RUSKIN WINS 1ST PLACE AT WARE COUNTY TECH FAIR
Students in Tammy Gardner's 3rd grade WINGS class participated in the Ware County Tech Fair on Saturday,
December 5th. Students worked with their partners to create the digital photography projects that they entered in to the competition. While all projects were of exceptional quality,
Natalie Romero and Josue Delgadillo received 1st Place trophies for their entry. For their project, they created the
word "BRAVERY" using digital photographs of everyday objects to represent each letter of the word. Along with using a digital camera, they used Photoshop software to edit the photos. Mrs. Stevens, Ruskin's principal, expressed her excitement for their award, "I am so proud of all of our teams who participated in
the Tech Fair. They are doing an outstanding job learning to use different forms of technology, which goes right along with the STEM projects they are doing in class. Technology is essential
to life nowadays, so it is exciting to see our students learning to use it in so many fun ways at school."
