The Palestinian Ministry of Religious En-dowments said on
Wednesday (24/12) that the decision of the occupation authorities
to annex the Prophet Samuel mosque in the occupied city of
Jerusalem to what is known as Israels parks department is a
continua-tion of religious persecution practiced by the occupation
against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in the Palestinian
territories. The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs will spare
no effort to return the mosque to the ownership of the Islamic Waqf
in Pales-tine, whatever the difculties it will face and will go to
all the world cultural and religious institutions to inform it of
this new attack against the feelings of Muslim believers in
Palestine and throughout the world. The Palestinians Center for

The occupation is soon opening a cafe to sell coffee, food, and
types of liquor and wine; the cafe was recently built in the
Israeli municipality of Jerusalem on the ruins of the upper part of
the historic Islamic cemetery Mamanullah in Jerusalem.According to
Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage: in an inspection visit to
the tomb of immune God a large banner and other ads seen stating
the opening of a nearby cafe which was built on the ruins of the
cemetery, as the cafe Andfar, and that announced the need for
workers. The foundation indi-cated that while searching for
information about this cafe, it was revealed that it is a network
of Israeli cafes, which offer types of coffee, foods and beverages,
including wine or liquor. It noted that the Israeli occupation
authorities have turned a large part of the cemetery to a public
park, and Yards for lyrical performances and a meeting place for
lovers and Gays, and paved streets, sewer, electricity, water and
other attacks, for the aim of erasing the presence and the proof of
the Islamic civi-lization in the holy city, and try to Judaize all
that is Islamic and Arabic.

After the decision of Knesset to dissolve itself and go to early
parliamentary elections, some Israeli poli-ticians could not
control a long silence towards the visits and prayers of the Jews
in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the hottest in the Middle East
le.
In his rst statement on the eve of the elections, the Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the Wailing Wall will
remain in our grasp and the city of Jerusalem as well as the whole
will remain united under the Israeli sovereignty. In a post to him
on his Facebook, Head of Knesset Yuli Edelstein, a senior leader in
the Likud, said that Jerusalem is the holiest place of ours, and we
have to defend it with all our strength and do not allow for
differences between us that make us forget our case, which is
Jerusalem.
On its part, Tzipi Livni, called for the strengthening of the
Wailing Wall with the Israeli sovereignty and said: Israeli
sovereignty lies in this place of the city of Jerusalem; this term,
which historically links the Jewish people to their land can not be
achieved only by applying the full Israeli sovereignty over the
city. And Livnis comments came during a visit to the Wailing Wall
for lighting a candle in so-called remote Lights / Chanukah with
the participation of the Hebrew leader of the Labour Party.
On the other hand, Chairman of the Interior Committee in the MK
and the outstanding candidate of the Likud list Miri Regev, said:
it is our duty as a nation to care about the maintenance of the
holy places of all religions so that the people can perform prayers
in the form that ts its sacredness. This speech comes during a her
tour in Kurds and ligament, that the occupation is calling Little
Wall.

At the conclusion of the meetings announced, supervisors of the
Palestinian affairs in the conference of Arab host countries on
Thursday (25/12) in Cairo rejected all the programs of formal and
informal Israeli plans for stating Jerusalem as the capital of the
Jewish state, stressing their commitment to the establishment of an
independent Palestinian state sovereign on full Palestinian
territories, occupied in 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The conference called in its nal recommendations, in Cairo, the
international community to apply the relevant resolutions of the
international legitimacy that Jerusalem is an occupied territory
and any action is null and void, stressing at the same time the
Arab identity of the city of Jerusalem, and the illegality of

El Araby: What happens as the Judaization and displacement in
Jerusalem cannot be tolerated
Secretary General of the Arab League, Nabil Elaraby, said that
what is happening Jerusalem as a Judaization of the city and
displacement of peo-ple, cannot be tolerated. Elaraby warned, on
Sun-day (28/12), of the Jewish state plans to Judaize Jerusalem and
the elimination of its identity in ac-cordance with the master plan
and the division of Al-Aqsa Mosque in time and space, and the
con-tinuation of illegal settlements. Elaraby stressed the
importance of the Arab resolution, which will be voted on in the
Security Council for end-ing the Israeli occupation according to a
specic timetableand expressed hope that the vote comes
in favor of the Palestinian goals and establishing their
independent state on the borders of June 1967.
Elaraby said: the question of Palestine remains the rst topic
for us, no matter what other things are burn-ing, but the problem
with this issue is that the Arab countries alone cannot solve the
presence of another party. Elaraby stressed that it is essential
for the Arab States to participate in the international campaign
for the international boycott of the Jewish state, as there is Arab
support for the Palestinian position, and this is what was approved
by the last Arab Foreign Ministers Council. WAFA News Agency
