SUBJECT: RECOMMENDATION FOR ISRAEL TEFERA
To Whom It May Concern::
Israel Tefera was a student in my Accounting 301 Essentials of Accounting class at DeVry in Anaheim. Israel always attends class, puts forth a diligent effort to learn, and performs at his best. He carries a positive attitude, wants to learn, and enjoys learning. He always asks questions when he does not understand and needs clarity. Israel is always prepared and professional in the classroom.
I am excited that he plans to seek a Master’s degree in order to further his education, and I would strongly endorse him for the CARD 405 class.
I am pleased to provide a letter of reference for Mr. Israel Tefera. I have been working with Mr. Tefera in the DeVry University Academic Success Center on his Computer Information Systems classes since September 2013. During this time we have met about every one to two weeks to discuss his lab assignments and general progress in the CIS program. Courses in which I have worked with Mr. Tefera have included Object-Oriented Programming, Introduction to Database, Web Interface Design, Web Architecture, and Advanced Web Development. This has given me the opportunity to observe both Mr. Tefera’s technical skills and his personal characteristics related to learning and achievement.
Mr. Tefera has demonstrated proficiency as a programmer in a range of business applications, including both desktop-based client-server applications and web applications. He is an able coder in multiple languages in the Microsoft .Net environment, including C++ and Visual Basic; and has experience working with JavaScript, HTML, and SQL. He is very familiar with the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment, and has also worked with Dreamweaver for website development. Using these tools, Mr. Tefera has written, debugged, and tested applications that interface with databases, collect and display user information via web forms, and send automated emails.
I have observed Mr. Tefera to be tenacious and persistent as a learner and as a developer. He is determined to accomplish his goals, has an excellent work ethic, and is not deterred by difficulties and challenges. He is proactive in seeking assistance when needed. He frequently notes when a lab assignment is overly simplistic, and asks about ways to go beyond the lab requirements to make the finished product more realistic and professional.
It is a pleasure to work with Mr. Tefera, and I am happy to recommend him to you.
