2. Follow instructions on that page to install Adobe Flash Player ActiveX.

2. Activating iSpring QuizMaker

It is important to go through the activation process before you start using a trial or full version of iSpring QuizMaker. An iSpring QuizMaker license for a single user entitles you to install and use the product on two computers - for example, one at work and one at home. Both copies of the program should be used by the same person only. When you purchase the product, you will get a License Key that can be activated two times. Please note you can deactivate your license if you want to install the program on another computer or reinstall the operating system. In the sections below you will learn how to:

Start a free trial to evaluate all product features within 30 days.

Activate a purchased license to remove all limitations of the trial version.

Deactivate your license when moving the license to another computer or reinstalling the operating system on your computer.

Starting Trial of iSpring QuizMaker

Activating iSpring QuizMaker License

Deactivating iSpring QuizMaker License

2.1. Starting Trial of iSpring QuizMaker

To start a free trial of the product, you need to obtain a free trial license at the iSpring Solutions website and enter the license details in the iSpring QuizMaker Activation Wizard:

1. Click the Activate button in the About section of the product toolbar to launch the iSpring

QuizMaker Activation Wizard.

2. Select the Start free trial option and click Next.

3. Click Get Free Trial License.

Follow the instructions at the web page to get a trial license. 4. Enter your registration name and license key in the corresponding fields.

5. Click the Next button.

The program will activate your trial period.

6. Click Finish to close the activation wizard. You can use the trial for 30 days to evaluate the product. After the trail period is over, you will need to activate the product with the license key, received after the purchase.

Trial Version Limitations

Installing the trial version of iSpring QuizMaker is the best way to evaluate all features of the product. The trial version of iSpring QuizMaker is fully functional and produces Flash content of the same quality as the full version.

Page 4: iSpring QuizMaker 6_2_B5 Upload

4 Editor: Purwo Adi Wibowo, SE, MSc

Disusun sebagai salah satu komponen modul panduan penyusunan hibah MPNK Statistika Bisnis

The only limitations of the trial version are a 30-day limit and an evaluation mode banner covering a part of the quiz area as you can see in the picture below.

To start using iSpring QuizMaker without any trial limitations, you need to purchase a license and activate it. Parent topic: Activating iSpring QuizMaker

2.2. Activating iSpring QuizMaker License

To start using iSpring QuizMaker without the trial period limitations, you need to obtain a product license and activate it in the product:

1. In the About section of the product toolbar, click the Activate button to launch the iSpring

QuizMaker Activation Wizard.

2. Choose Activate the purchased license and click Next.

3. If you have already obtained the iSpring QuizMaker license, enter your registration name

and license key in the corresponding fields and click Next to proceed to License Activation. To purchase an iSpring QuizMaker license, click Purchase License.

4. It is strongly recommended that you activate your iSpring QuizMaker right away. The

easiest way to activate the license is to choose Activate the license via Internet now. This

activation option requires an active Internet connection and usually takes a few seconds.

Page 5: iSpring QuizMaker 6_2_B5 Upload

Dokumentasi Ispring QuizMaker 6.2 5 Sumber: www.ispringsolutions.com/kb/suite.html#help_docs

After successful activation, you will see a number of activations remaining and a total number of available activations for the license. If no Internet connection is available on the computer where iSpring QuizMaker is installed, or the program is blocked by a firewall, choose Activate the license manually. You can

send a license activation request with your License request code and License key via email from another computer. After you receive a License activation code from the iSpring Support Team, type it in the corresponding field and click Next. Manual activation requests

are usually processed within one business day. Your license must be activated within 3 days of the installation. If the license is not activated within 3 days, an evaluation mode watermark will be added to your Flash quizzes, until the license is activated.

The license activation binds the product to a given computer and its operating system. As the number of available license activations is limited, you should deactivate a previously activated license in case you want to reinstall the operating system or activate the license on another computer. This way you will not lose your activations.

Parent topic: Activating iSpring QuizMaker

2.3. Deactivating iSpring QuizMaker License

One-seat license for iSpring QuizMaker implies two activations of the product. For example, it can be installed on your work computer and on your home laptop. If you want to move iSpring QuizMaker to another computer or reinstall the operating system on your PC, you need to uninstall iSpring QuizMaker and choose the Deactivate my license option when uninstalling the product. Your

license will be deactivated, and you will be able to activate iSpring QuizMaker on another computer. After successful deactivation, the program will display the number of remaining activations out of the total number of activations.

3. What's New in iSpring QuizMaker

iSpring QuizMaker 6.0 is a new major release featuring lots of new features:

Survey, a new quiz type, has been introduced in version 6. Unlike graded quizzes, surveys are used to collect information from people and consequently don't have correct or incorrect answers.

Quizzes can now contain blank slides -- screens with no questions, just some information for users.

New question types have been added: 12 for a survey and one for a graded quiz (hotspot).

It’ s now possible to add formulas to question and possible answers. This feature requires

Equation Editor that comes as part of Microsoft Office installation.

Images or formulas can be inserted to answer options to supplement or replace text.

Feedback messages can be customized for each question separately.

The new branching feature makes it possible to build a path for a user from question to question depending on users's answers.

There are now separate Result settings for passed and failed quizzes.

Page 6: iSpring QuizMaker 6_2_B5 Upload

An opportunity to print quiz results has been added to the quiz review window.

QuizMaker's interface has been redesigned to match the Microsoft Office style.

Enhanced Rich Text Editor now allows customizing font, size, style and color of questions and feedbacks, adding hyperlinks, bullets and indents.

Flash movies can be added to any question type in a quiz.

Updated Multiple Choice/Response question types include the custom scoring option.

A quiz backup copy can now be automatically created during quiz saving.

Quiz Settings have been enriched with the new Quiz Report Customization option that allows to customize email template with quiz results.

Completion statuses can be manually selected when publishing a quiz to an LMS.

A user can be allowed between 1 and 10 or unlimited attempts to take a quiz.

5.1. Graded Quizzes and Surveys

A graded quiz is a true test, which purpose is to test knowledge. Thus, it contains questions with a mandatory correct answer specified among available options. A survey is intended to poll people and collect information they provide. So questions in a survey do not have correct answers. A graded quiz can have questions of both types. For example you can insert an Essay question to gather students' feedback about the quiz. A survey can contain questions of the survey type only. Parent topic: Getting Started with iSpring QuizMaker

5.2. Creating a New Quiz

To save a quiz for further editing:

Click the Save button on the Quick Access toolbar.

or Click the round QuizMaker button and then choose Save. If you save a new quiz, you will be prompted to enter a name for the file, and you will be able to select a target folder. If you edit an already saved quiz, the program will save the changes to the same file.

Creating backup copies of your quiz is enabled by default. You can turn on/off backups creation option in the Application Menu -> Options.

To back up your quiz, switch on the 'Automatically create quiz backups' option.

If the option is enabled, a backup file of the previous version is created each time when you save a quiz. Each new backup copy replaces the previous backup copy. The name of the backup file adds the word 'backup' to the file name, for example: Sample_Quiz.quiz and Sample_Quiz (backup).quiz
