On the 24th May a group of ladiesset off to London Embankment fora day of chanting, book distribu-tion and Vaisnavi sanga. Wearrived at 10.30am and unpackedour book boxes, karatals, mrdan-

ga and harmonium. After severalhours of chanting and book distri-bution we moved ontoEmbankment Bridge and contin-

ued singing and distributingbooks until 4.30pm.

We plan to have these eventsevery month so please look outfor the special posters on the

Temple notice boards and ouremail reminders HarinamSankirtan ki jay !

INDRADYUMNA

SWAMI BOATTRIPOn the 11th May, devotees from ISKCONLondon attended a transcendental boat tripon the River Thames with HH IndradyumnaSwami. We were treated to sweet kirtan byMaharaj, a short class and prasadam.

This event was preceded by an evening ofbhajans at ISKCON London by IndradyumnaSwami on the 10th May.

BRAMACARI TRIPSOn the 8th 13th May, BramacariTrip to Hungary from ISKCON Londonwent on a retreat to ISKCON Hungary.Everyone was impressed by the highstandards of cleanliness in the tem-ple as well as the welcoming Templeatmosphere created by the devoteesin Hungary.

On the 19th to 25th May, Jai Nitai dasaattended a Japa Retreat inRadhadesh with Radha Londonishvara

dasa, Kasinath dasa and Bhakti Robert.The retreat was facilitated by HHSacinandana Swami.

This years Lord NrsimhadevsAppearance Day festival wasa vibrant and ecstatic event.Mangala arati was attendedby 30 devotees.The Deities were dressed

splendidly in this yearsGaura Purnima outfit for

Deity greetings, and Gurupuja kirtan went on for 2

hours with 50 devotees inattendance.

This was followed by a verylively and humorous classgiven by HG Sridham dasa.

Raj bhoga arati was wellattended and over 70 devo-

tees were in attendance forthe maha harinam throughthe streets of CentralLondon.

At 3pm we had mahaabisheka of variousshaligram silas followed bya beautifully presented playperformed by the SohoStreet youth club.

At 5pm we auctioned manyhistorical paintings that haddecorated the building formany years and we man-aged to raise in excess of3,000 for the Temple refur-bishment project. This wasfollowed by our evening talkgiven by HG Gaura Gopal

dasa.An ecstatic kirtan followed

and the maha prasadam andfeast was served to at least400 devotees. The 9pm kir-tan was led by HG RadhaLondonisvara dasa withdevotees dancing in blissuntil 10:30pm.

NEW DEVOTEES IN THE ASHRAMOn the 28th May, Bhakta Niket and BhaktaArjuna joined the bramacaris ashram forseveral weeks. The services they are

engaged in are book distribution and uni-versity preaching.

On the 30th May to 2nd June we held an ISKCONCommunication Coursein the new seminarroom. HG Anuttamadasa was the coursefacilitator. We had 22temple devotees andcongregational mem-

bers attend this three and half days course. All agreed it was a greatcourse and that Anuttama dasas sense of humour was first class!

ISKCON COMMUNICATIONS COURSE

OUT AND ABOUT WITH THE TEMPLEPRESIDENTDuring the month of May, Jai Nitai dasa carried out the following engagements.

On the 1st May, attended a house programme at the home of Hemant and Girish Patel.

On the 2nd May, visited the home of Bhakta Mahesh & Bhaktin Josna in Crawley for a houseprogramme after which stayed overnight and went out on book distribution the next day.

On the 9th May, attended a UK Management Council meeting.

On the 16th May, gave a talk at Pandava Sena Harrow Jammin. The talk was entitledSimple Living and High Thinking and was attended by 35 people.

WORLD VEGETARIAN WEEKOn the 19th to 25th May itwas World Vegetarian Week.We observed this event byhaving our lunch andevening speakers preachabout vegetarianism in rela-

tion to prasadam and SrilaPrabhupadas teachings.

We also had a book tableoutside the restaurant sell-ing Srila Prabhupadas books

and in particular the HigherTaste.

Govindas restaurant alsooffered a 10% student dis-count during this week.

This project is being over-seen by Krsna Pranadhikadevi dasi.

After having refurbished theseminar rooms on the 3rd

floor we have moved ontothe next floor below.

In the pictures here you cansee the area on the wallopposite the Temple roomwhere a huge stain glasswindow will be inserted.

We are also slowly movingour way down towards the
