HOW CAN WE SCORE ON THE FILM

FOCUS ON GOAL

The film depicts how Iqbal’s focus

on his goal, i.e; to be a Cricketer helped to achieve him his goal successfully. In real life we the people also should be always focussed on our respective goals. In fact setting of goal is the first step towards success.

Page 6: iqbal

BARRIERS

Iqbal faced many barriers in the form of his father’s opposition, bad financial condition and most important was his physical challenge. But in spite of that he over came it.

Similarly, in our life also barriers are inevitable, but one should face it with strong determination and over come it.

Page 7: iqbal

DISCIPLINE

In the film, Iqbal practiced with discipline, infact he even practiced at night.

Thus in our day-to-day life also we cannot score much without discipline. It is one of the basic components of success.

Page 8: iqbal

MOTIVATION

Iqbal was motivated by his coach,

mother, his sister and by Kapil Dev, without which he couldn’t have performed.

Motivation is an important ingredient for success, it is the one factor which pushes one towards one’s goal.

Page 9: iqbal

GROUP DYNAMICS

Iqbal performed better in a group and in front of a large audience. Infact, he was a victim of ‘positive social facilitation effect’.

Thus we can see that an individual generally performs better in a group than individually.

Page 10: iqbal

PLANNING & STRATEGY

Iqbal and his team adopted different plans & strategy to grab the wickets of the opposition, which they

popularly called Chakraview.

Similarly we should also adopt different strategies & plans according to different situations to achieve our desired destination.

Page 11: iqbal

CO-ORDINATION & TRUST

Iqbal’s captain handed over the ball to him at the last over, which depicts his trust on him. Moreover, there was proper co-ordination between them.

To perform any task in a group there should be proper co-ordination and trust among each other.

Page 12: iqbal

LOYALTY

Iqbal was offered bribe for loosing the match but he was loyal to his team and turned down the offer.

One should be loyal to the group to which he belongs. Un-loyalty leads to nowhere.

Page 13: iqbal

PATRIOTISM‘INDIA’, was always, what Iqbal thought. He always wanted to play for

India. It was nothing but his patriotism.

Amongst all the difficulties, we should try our best to do something for our country.
