INTRODUCTION Government First Grade College, Devanahalli Bangalore Rural, established during in the year 1984 by with humanity courses. Student’s strength has increased over the years. College Originally was situated in Devanahalli Town rented in Govt. P.U. Later shifted to its own infrastructure in 1997 with 6 acres in Vijayapura Road De- vanahalli. The college has se- cured 2(F) & 12(B) status from the University Grants Commission. Dur- ing the year 2004 the institution applied for NAAC Accreditation and secured “C++” Grade. Then in second cycle of NAAC Accredita- tion College secured “B” grade with CGPA 2.44 points. The third cycle of NAAC is due in 2020. The College has been granted Rs. 2.00 Crores, RUSA Funds under component 7. The IQAC Cell is striving towards quality enhancement with active support from K.S.Shivashankarappa Principal, NAAC, IQAC Coordinator, Teaching Staffs, Non Teaching Staffs and Honorable MLA, Devanahalli Constituency and all other stake holders. VISION To empower the students with holistic knowledge to improve themselves and society for a vibrant future. MISSION To inculcate social awareness, environment consciousness, leadership qualities and patriotism among students. To guide them to march towards their goals by upholding the values of social process, universalism and commitment. To mould leaders who can champion the cause of better and meaningful future. To cater to the needs of the students hailing from the rural, marginalized and weaker sections. IQAC VISION To achieve excellence in teaching, learning & administration. Orientation Programme

Orientation programme for the UG first year students was held

on 20-08-2019. Sri. B.Suresh Gowda Advocate addressed students.

All Teaching Staffs and Non Teaching Staffs participated.

Orientation programme for the PG first year students was held

on 20-08- 2019. Dr. Ramesh Babu, Joint Director DCE, ad-

dressed students. All teaching staffs and non teaching staffs par-

ticipated.

Free Laptop Distribution

Free Laptops were distributed to 344 first year degree students on 26-02- 2020.

Students Support

Rajasthan Youth Association provided Book Bank for B.Com Students.

Rajasthan Youth Association provided Scholarship for meritorious students of Rs. 1,02,000

Faculty Development Programme

FDP for Teachers on “Preparation for NAAC” was organized by I QAC on 07.11.2019. The speaker

was Dr.Sheshagiri

HISTORY

Jatta & street play on “Awareness on Electors Verification”

Program for Public along with Staffs and 200 students participated

on 13.09.2019.

In association with Karnataka Sarvodaya Mandali, an Exam on

Indian Freedom Movement was held on 14.09.2019.

Seminar on “Gandhian Principles and values” the speaker are

H.R.Suresh, Narasimhaiah and Yachi Doddaiah was organized on

16.09.2019.

Free Eye Checkup Camp by Dristi Eye Hospital Devanahalli in

association with Dept. of History and Gandhi Study Center was

held on 10.10.2019 where 478 students got their eye tested. Around

120 free spectacles were distributed.

Commerce Forum Inauguration with special lecture by Dr. B.K.Suresh held on 11.10.2019.

Instrustrial Visit to KSDL Mysore for B.B.A students on 15.10.2019.

Special Guest lecture on “Introduction to Direct Taxes “ by Dr.Nagendraswamy P, was organized

for Final year B.Com & B.B.A Students on 25.10.2019.

Visit to Ramakrishna Ashram Mullur Vijayapura by B.B.A students on 17.01.2020.

B.B.A students were taken to Bangalore Chinnaswamy stadium to watch Blind Women cricket

match on 21.01.2020.

EDP Day was organized for final year B.Com & B.B.A students on 12.02.2020.

One day Outreach Programme to B.S.E Financial Ltd.[Bangalore Stock Exchange] Bangalore for

II B.Com students on 28.02.2020 & 03.03.2020.

Certificate course on Tally & GST was held from 03.02.2020 to 07.03.2020 in association with

NICT Computer Education Bangalore, 30 students were trained and certified.

SCOUTS & GUIDES

Rangers and Rovers took part in Election Voting campaign in May Election.

10 Rangers and 5 Rovers of our college participated in Election duty as volunteers in May 2019.

5 Rovers attended State Level Service Camp held from 29.07.2019 to 02.08.2019.

“Sadhbhavana Dhinacharane” was held on 20.08.2019.

2 Rovers attended State Level Moot held on 07.09.2019 to 10.09.2019 in Udupi.

Orientation Program for Rangers and Rovers was held on 27.09.2019 by Mr.Arun Kumar.

7 Rangers and 5 Rovers completed Nipun Testing Camp held on 01.11.2019 to 03.11.2019.

5 Rangers and 5 Rovers attended the Disaster Management & First Aid Training camp in Cambridge

Institute of Technology near Kundana from 30.01.2020 to 02.02.2020.

All Rangers & Rovers were taken for Trekking for Avalbetta near chikkabalapura on
