INTRODUCTION Government First Grade College, Devanahalli Bangalore Rural, established during in the year 1984 by with humanity courses. Student’s strength has increased over the years. College Originally was situated in Devanahalli Town rented in Govt. P.U. Later shifted to its own infrastructure in 1997 with 6 acres in Vijayapura Road De- vanahalli. The college has se- cured 2(F) & 12(B) status from the University Grants Commission. Dur- ing the year 2004 the institution applied for NAAC Accreditation and secured “C++” Grade. Then in second cycle of NAAC Accredita- tion College secured “B” grade with CGPA 2.44 points. The third cycle of NAAC is due in 2020. The College has been granted Rs. 2.00 Crores, RUSA Funds under component 7. The IQAC Cell is striving towards quality enhancement with active support from K.S.Shivashankarappa Principal, NAAC, IQAC Coordinator, Teaching Staffs, Non Teaching Staffs and Honorable MLA, Devanahalli Constituency and all other stake holders. VISION To empower the students with holistic knowledge to improve themselves and society for a vibrant future. MISSION To inculcate social awareness, environment consciousness, leadership qualities and patriotism among students. To guide them to march towards their goals by upholding the values of social process, universalism and commitment. To mould leaders who can champion the cause of better and meaningful future. Jatta & street play on “Awareness on Electors Verification”
Program for Public along with Staffs and 200 students participated
on 13.09.2019.
In association with Karnataka Sarvodaya Mandali, an Exam on
Indian Freedom Movement was held on 14.09.2019.
Seminar on “Gandhian Principles and values” the speaker are
H.R.Suresh, Narasimhaiah and Yachi Doddaiah was organized on
16.09.2019.
Free Eye Checkup Camp by Dristi Eye Hospital Devanahalli in
association with Dept. of History and Gandhi Study Center was
held on 10.10.2019 where 478 students got their eye tested. Around
120 free spectacles were distributed.
