What is mythology?

• Myth: (noun) A traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events. • Denotation: A type of story that explains a

phenomenon.• Connotation: Myths are usually false. THIS IS

NOT THE DEFINITION THAT WE ARE USING TO DISCUSS MYTHOLOGY.
